My name is Langalakhe Sibongiseni Mkhize (ID No: 8401155699087). In 2023, I purchased a 2022 VW Amarok from the VW dealership in Ballito. At the time of purchase, the vehicle had approximately 21,000 km on the odometer. But now it is 52000 KM
Approximately two months after taking ownership, I began experiencing issues with the tyres—they started peeling off. I immediately reported this to my sales representative, Mr. Mlungisi Gwala, who referred me to Super Quick in Ballito for further inspection.
The vehicle was assessed at Super Quick on two separate occasions. On the third request, due to the long distance from my home in Yellowwood Park to Ballito, I asked if the inspection could be done closer to me. Super Quick then sent a representative named Clint, who inspected the tyres and confirmed that they were indeed defective and needed replacement.
Clint connected me with Mr. Moorne, based in Johannesburg. Unfortunately, my interactions with Mr. Moorne was marked by confusion and inconsistency. He initially claimed the Chinese tyre manufacturer was on leave and later provided conflicting updates without any resolution. Throughout this time, I had to follow up repeatedly on my own.
Frustrated by the lack of progress, I returned to the Ballito dealership to report the matter to the manager. He assured me that he had engaged with Super Quick but admitted he was unable to resolve the issue.
I then escalated the matter to the CEO, Mr. Kevin Pillay. However, I found his response defensive from the outset. He requested that I submit a report, which I did. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, I have received no satisfactory resolution.
I am deeply disappointed and discouraged by the lack of accountability and support from VW Ballito and its partners. I kindly request that this matter be addressed as soon a
s possible.
Sincerely, Langalakhe Sibongiseni Mkhize 0810350672
