I sent my fishing rod in for repairs at basil manning springfield park last year. I recieved notification that my rod was ready for collection and had my wife call in to say that i was out of country and would collect wen i returned. Due to covid restrictions i was unable to return and when i did, i recieved another notification from janine in basil manning repair centre stating that i should not forget to collect my rod. Upon going to the branch to collect, i am then told that they cannot find my rod and further more only have documents stating it was the base section of my rod. I then explained to janine that it took my long to come collect as i was looking for my paperwork which i had lost and that i had left my entire rod there for fitment of bionic finger aswell as replacement of my front tip guide. She then advised they need time to locate the rod. A week later she asked me to come in to the store to meet her manager who is handling my query. He then says that he remembers me bringing in the full rod yet their paperwork only shows the base section but they will locate it but need some time. Its been more than a month now and everytime i contact janine about this, she says her manager is handling the matter and will get in contact with me, which never happens. This situation is becoming extremely frustrating as basil manning is giving this DONT CARE ATTITUDE. im not sure if it is the company or the staff, however this is extremely upsetting and disrespectful to me as a client of the store. Makes me wonder how many other people have to deal with this sort of thing. The basil manning name and brand is really being brought down here.
