How can you discriminate against Discovery Health members because between the two companies you cannot come to an amicable agreement. So you go after the your clients because they are the least able to fight back. Absolutely disgraceful.

Ohhh my dear they will harass you and ask you to pay an account you paid already and sent proof of payment Everyday you’ll wake up with tons and tons of emails from them. I don’t want my Dr to send me there EVER AGAIN!!!!

4th of March, i went to Bayradiology at Mercantile hospital PE, My daughter had to go for a CT scan, I showed the lady my Bayradiology referral letter, Asked me what medical aid i am on, I told her, she told me my medical aid doesnt pay for a CT scan, She gave me the prices, i told her i will contact them to make a appointment, When i got home i contacted my medical aid, they said that there is a benefit, But authorisation can only be given after the scan IF there is enough prove why the CT scan had to be done, otherwise i will be liable. I contacted Bayradiology Greenacres, made my daughters booking and went to them, With no issues, i had to sign a letter that i am liable if my medical aid doesnt pay. I contacted the lady at Mercantile again. She told me, They stuggle to get payment with my medical aid, and that is why she told me they dont pay. This is a very bad attitude from her, as she just could've explained it to me when i was there, and i also could've signed a liable letter, But instead she just told me they dont pay.

I normally don't post negative reviews, even when service was very poor. I'm posting this review in the hope that the Doctors / Direcors in charge of Bay Radiology take note of how rude their staff speaks to some patients at their Mangold (Newton Park, Port Elizabth) branch. Reception staff can set the tone for the entire practice and can cause such practice to lose patients. Ladies, a course in customer service (in this case - patient communication) might be beneficial to you, the practice and the patients.
