We have bought 3 Beds from Bears in October 2025. One bed's wire is On The Verge of Pulling through the bed. This is a great hazard as it can CAUSE someone's DEATH. The other bed is making noises and quite soft in the middle(this can lead to a person's back being sore). These BEDS Are rotten Sh*t! You spend tons of money on things you think is of good quality and then bam! Not really.. THESE BEDS are not even 6 MONTHS OLD and they are already giving problems or better yet, feeling like OLD Used Beds. This has been reported to the Kariega(Uitenhage) branch and escalated to East London who has now been asking us countless times to take pictures of the wired bed and make videos of the other bed with and softness in the middle. It seems like the store now wants to shift their responsibility onto us to do the work they must do. Instead they must Pick Up These Beds and assess the complaints which have been made. I SHOULD NOT BE TELLING THEM HOW OTO DO THEIR JOB. We want NEW Beds or Our Money back! IMMEDIATELY !!!

I took a washing machine at Beares and couldn’t afford the instalment agreed with. I’ve asked to pay 300 as i have financial and personal issues but they wanted more than that. They’ve sent 2 ladies at my workplace during working hours and one of the ladies was shouting at me colleagues listening. They demanded that i pay them at the spot and they don’t want any negotiations or arrangements even after askeng them that we should make a debit order arrangement for month end. The lady called me again shouting and told me they’re coming to fetch their goods or will come to my workplace again. If they come again I might lose my job. Ive called the head office to make payment arrangements with the store.

Hopefully is this the last time I had to write a review about this place. The first review I made was that I tried to get a payment plan as my husband lost his job that wasn’t his fault they phoned back and talked to the financial regional manager and organise a payment plan. They still contacted us told us they want the stuff but we pay our lower payment every month. Second time was about communicating with them as they didn’t remove my debit order they emailed me for info that I rep**** to them and till this day no response How can u give a good review to a place like this? No friendly service nothing

Please reconsider when I want to buy on credit with beares. They only want money but when it comes to communication o my word it's a mess. We want to speak to the financial regional manager which we spoke to before. But our messages get ignored.

This is my first time buying from Beares, and unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing and frustrating. I purchased a fridge and a wardrobe from the Beares Claremont store in Cape Town. During the sales process, everything went smoothly. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I signed the contract without any issues. Delivery was also done without problems. However, after delivery, the service completely fell apart. The wardrobe was delivered in boxes and not assembled, and I was never informed about when or whether someone would come to assemble it. There was no proper communication, no clear instructions, and no follow-up from the store. I contacted the workers and the store several times and kept getting runarounds and vague answers about when someone would come to assemble the wardrobe. My messages and calls were not taken seriously. Because of this, I had to find someone myself to assemble the wardrobe, which means extra costs out of my own pocket for something that should have been handled properly by Beares. When we opened the boxes, we discovered that some parts were missing, so the wardrobe cannot even be fully assembled. This has been a terrible first experience with Beares. The service was great only until I signed the contract—after that, the support disappeared. It feels like customers are only important until the sale is made. If I had known this is how Beares operates, I would never have signed the contract. Honestly, I wish I could return everything because I do not want to deal with a company that is dishonest and has such poor communication and after-sales service. I expect Beares to urgently provide the missing parts, fix this situation, and address the inconvenience and extra costs I’ve had to incur. This level of service is unacceptable.

We bought 3 beds at bears last year and were told that each bed can take upto 150kg beds are fully paid. In October 2025 i contacted bears saying there us something wrong with the beds the springs are coming out and it sounds like the bed is breaking finally end of Jan 2026 after months of calling and complaining tge supplier contacted me photos and videos were sent now almost end February we get told ot is improper use as the beds can only take 70lg not 150kg and we should take ot up with bears. So i call bears pta west again speak to the manager and i get told its not their problem the sales lady should of told us and they can do nothing i can call head office but its not their problem. So our money is good enough we payed for warranties and all the extra nonsense paid the account up fully and no discount when we paid in full btw and now that the mistake is on their side it is being said sorry not our problem. 6 months of being played like a fool only to hear not our problem so tell me who's problem is it when your branches sales lady gave the wrong information

I opened an account with this company and I have come to regret it a great deal. I stopped paying this account due to the quality of the item I received. That was sorted, then a few days ago I requested a settlement amount for my account so I can settle it because I've been threatened a great deal by the people of Beares Furniture. Now, their manager has started coming to my house after hours EVERYDAY DEMANDING THAT I GO TO A LOAN SHARK AND PAY CASH TO HIM. What kind of sh*t show are you people running there. Is this even legal???????
