If I was able to give them 0 *stars i would totally do that! I have been to Beer house probably about 3 to 4 times before yesterday/last night.
Beer house employed a new Manager Jason who is not only arrogant, he flat out does not have any managerial s****s at all. The staff are friendly toward tourist only!!!! If you are a shade darker expect to receive no service at ALL!!!!
We were a group of 8 people which booked a table through Jason for the terrace (preferably). At the time of making this reservation, there was no mention of any complications with regards to booking outside. When we arrived at the establishment we were not greeted, not offered assistance or anything but rather received alot of "ATTITUDE" from the employees working there. We inquired about the reservation and was told Jason the new manager made the reservation but he is new, so when he made the reservation he should have informed our party that we cannot sit outside. Jason never once came to the table to apologize to us but was rather hiding with employees and would not divulge his name! Such a shame!(If i could use the proper language on this platform I would).
They started removing tables on the terrace while we were trying to eat and have a good time. Apparently this is normal when they have their Quiz night and that is the most important customer.
I tried speaking to a "Manager" Jason was the only guy which was not called at anytime but I rather had to overhear staff shout his name. I waited at the bar for 5 minutes(if not more) trying to order a drink. No staff member acknowledged I was there and merely just wanted to drink a beer(was so hot in town). I had a go at the lad after waiting a good 5 minutes just to be seen to while they busy fooling around behind the bar! (swearing at each other, shouting at the person at the back, shouting at the manager, counting cash like they never seen any)
When I eventually spoke to a gentleman behind the bar, I informed him how this day has been a disaster for us. The man responded with the following: "What do you want?" I replied and said: "Nothing, I am a paying customer just like all the other people here, I do not want free things, I want my *hi* for now and demand service". He apologized to me for the service etc. "Sorry, sorry neh, are you sure you dont want anything".?
The manager Jason was amidst all this at the bar(I did not even know he was the manager till I overheard the staff talking about him). He asked me if we drink Caramel Vodka to which I replied yes. I am still waiting for them! I later bumped into the lad and asked in a joke can we still expect our caramel vodkas which he offered and I declined a million times, his response was: " I sent my GM(General Manager) a message and waiting for his response".
Pathetic service. The food I couldn't fault. The beer always a HIT!(Hence beer house) The staff pathetic@!@(snobs@!**unts) The manager doesn't have hospitality background, he looks more like he should be working on cars.
Give these people training please! They are destroying your business! If they judge you to not have money(mostly if you a shade darker) you are in for a horror movie which just does not stop playing.
If and a big IF!) I ever set my feet in this place again I would have to walk in there with a open mind! I am still traumatized by all that faces just looking at you! No warmth! No hospitality.
GENERAL MANGER: Please sort out this staffing issue! This is not an establishment for foreigners only(tourist etc) This is a joint where locals can come and have a good time but we get robbed of that because of color(such a shame) ethos(looks like money, mainly tips is your staffs motivation and if you are 'judged' to not have any or little your horror movie will begin! Which is total and utter B!@#$$%% . I would like a formal apology from all the staff working last night! The gentleman that was fighting with me because I wanted to order a beer and his "shift ended" already. Jason the manager needs to apologize for his mess he cause and never came to our table once!!!!!! to apologize.
TRAIN THEM! GIVE THEM incentives! Drive them! Motivate them! So that the customer does not get this treatment.
Utterly disappointing experience from the 4 times I've been to Beer house!!!!!!
