I paid R790 from my FNB account to theirs for online matric tuition after being rushed to pay the same day due to a promotion. Only after payment was I informed that a study permit was required — this was never disclosed upfront.
I immediately requested a refund. Despite it being an FNB-to-FNB payment, I was told I must wait 14 days for a refund so they can “verify” that the money reflected. This is unreasonable.
During this period, they continued contacting my daughter to discuss course options, even though a refund was requested. When I escalated the issue, the supervisor was rude and disconnected the call.
Very disappointing experience. Parents should ensure all requirements are confirmed in writing before making payment.
