I gave birth at Netcare Olivedale hospital and I was given socks by my gynae without any explanation. As a first time mom and first time being ever admitted at a hospital, I assumed that whatever I receive from the hospital, is part of my maternity package. Little did I know that I will be hounded and harassed by this company's lawyers for something I did not know about. The worst part is that I never even worn those socks.
Now Grobler Rutsch Attorneys are on my back and the amount has even tripled the amount. I wonder if they can see someone can't pay R800, where do they think that person will get the R2200 from?
Another thing is that we have all been warned about debts that randomly appear after birth, so you try to be vigilant. Only to be taken to lawyers for things you don't know.
Please make sure that the hospital stuff explains to you what you get, because all i see is just people who give you things expecting your medical aid to pay and not necessarily care about you. Then if that claim fails, you're being sent to be harassed by lawyers you can't afford.
