Dear Volkswagen Management,
I am writing to formally express my disappointment and frustration regarding a recent service experience.
Ten days ago, I brought my vehicle in for a scheduled service. My intention was to proceed with a minor service, as that was what my current budget allowed. However, the service advisor strongly insisted that I proceed with a major service instead. Trusting the advisor’s professional guidance, I agreed to the major service, even though it placed significant strain on my monthly finances.
It has therefore come as a considerable shock to receive an SMS informing me of a 48-hour zero labor charge promotion. Upon reviewing my invoice, I see that I paid R3650.40 in labor costs — an amount that I could have saved had I simply waited a few more days.
In the current economic climate, where many of us are managing tight budgets, this amount is substantial. Had I been made aware of the upcoming promotion, I would certainly have delayed the service. It is extremely upsetting to realize that a short wait could have resulted in such significant savings.
I feel let down by the lack of transparency and consideration in this matter. I respectfully request that management review my case and advise whether any form of reimbur*****t or goodwill adjustment can be considered.
I look forward to your response and trust that this matter will be handled with fairness and understanding.
Kind regards,
