I hate Complaining and making other Peoples Jobs harder than they alrady are But; I had a terrible experience at Gateway Durban Branch on 2025-12-14 between 19:00 & 19:30. Walked in to Order with my Wife and Two Kids. The Counter wasn't busy although there was One Customer already placing an Order. Two Black Female Staff Members were behind the Counter. The Customer infront of me was done placing his Order. When I approached the Counter; the Female Cashier abruptly turned around and walked away without explaining whether she'll be back or not. Fine; I waited. The other Female was packing Orders; saw me and completely ignored me. A Black Female Customer walked in and that same Female who ignored me; approached her to take her Order first. Out of embarrassment; I tooj my Wife and Kids and left. I felt this was a subtle form of the "Reverse ******" that Non-Blacks face in todays South Africa. I also feel that I was ignored because I'm a Man. If the Store has CCTV; It wont be hard to view and miss the incident between the specified times. I'm Utterly Disgraced and will never do Business with ANY of your said Branches again.

Bird & Co Rosebank used to be one of my go-to spots because the food is good and the flavours are great, but lately the consistency has completely fallen apart. Their sauces are all over the place. The “hot” sauce has somehow turned mild, and they’ve become extremely stingy with portions. I ordered rice and strips and got a tiny amount of sauce. When I asked for more, I was told I had to pay extra. Everything now feels like it’s about squeezing money out of customers instead of delivering quality food. They’ve officially lost me and my family as customers. I’d rather go to Mochachos or Nando’s where the sauces are always consistent and freely available in bottles. Bird & Co Rosebank needs to seriously rethink their priorities.

The lady grilling the chicken at the pack handled the chicken strips i ordered with her bare hands, as well as the portuguese roll, moving it from one container to another. This after waiting 27 minutes for the order. I think the service and quality of food have deteriorated over the last few months. You should be careful, across the road a doppio zero is opening…..

****** STAFF AT GROENKLOOF PLAZA COMPLEX. My partner, came to order a pizza at their store and a store staff/manager, whoever you are, because my partner is definitely willing to identify you, rudely moved my wife from a seating spot while she was ORDERING A TAKE AWAY. She was deliberately told to, In her words: TO GET UP, MOVE AWAY FROM THIS TABLE AS PEOLE HAD BOOKED FOR IT AS THERE WAS CLEARLY NOT SIGN INDICICATED THAT THE TABLE WAS BOOKED. She was waiting for a TAKEAWAY ORDER And got mistreated like this? You lucky I was not around. I’d……..This is unacceptable and will take further steps to ensure this staff member/manager is well dealt with.

Food is the freshest I've had anywhere! Incredible service and do not have wait long for the food. Certainly impressed. I make sure to stop in for a meal on every trip to Durban.

Pathetic service. Food ordered at 16.45 and only ready at 18.15 Made to wait at the counter for over 25 mins . Was told when I arrived that my order will be ready in 5 mins . No apology for bad service.
