Black Dot Construction
Also known as Born Again Developments. Do not deal with Anthony, the owner of Black Dot Construction, also known as Born Again Developments. He is incapable of working within a budget, he is dishonest in that he blames everyone and anyone for his shocking workmanship, including the wind, soil erosion, previous builders, architects, other sub-contractors, and the list goes on and on. The quality of his work is shocking at best and yet he takes no responsibility for his poor workmanship. When we awarded him our contract we were assured that he would have a supervisor on site at all times, which was one of the primary reasons we awarded him the project. Yet we found out very quickly that he supplies NO supervision on site besides an occasional “pop in” for 15 minutes at the end of the day, just so he can say he was on site. His team will destroy anything that is not removed or covered. Once items are ruined he points to his contract and says he is not responsible for any damages, and then will charge you to repair whatever has been ruined by his team. He charges ridiculous markups which is where he makes his money. We are now in month 11 of a 3 month job. Do not be fooled by his “Born Again Developments” company name. He has no ethics or morals and could care less about his clients, his only motivation is to make as much money as possible from unsuspecting home owners until he gets kicked off site (which we discovered has happened on several occasions). Besides all of this, his workmanship is of such a poor quality that almost everything has to be done over. If anyone is considering using this “amateur”, please think twice before you allow him access to your property.

Do not use Black Dot Construction
Update on previous review posted: It is now almost 3 years after this so called building contractor was kicked off site at our home. In that time, 90% of his work has had to be re-done by REAL professionals. Our home is proof that he is not only dishonest but also completely incompetent. Feel free to contact me and I will show you his "workmanship" first hand so you don't fall for his lies and claims.

He is at best a handyman so use him if you need some pictures hung (make sure you are there to supervise though), but outside of that please rather use someone who is registered and qualified.
