BAD integrity - BAD service Extremely disappointed with www.MyAudioandSecurity / Blackspider Venomous Car Radio / MFN Electronics After purchasing 4 x Blackspider Bluetooth Headphones for the office, the plastic headphones cracked and broke after a few days of using them. I contacted the manager on 4 March 2025 and sent him photos of the broken headphones. He responded once, promising to send information on a similar product to replace the broken headphones. I have followed up since and he has not responded to any emails and ignoring phone calls. The scary part is that we ordered the items through Takealot.Com expecting quality items.

I had bought a BSM1210BT single din radio and what a complete nightmare it was. Black Spider advertises it as a 4 x 50 Watts (Max) output radio. However, its normal operating output is 4 x 25 watts and caused so much distortion on my Targa tweeters and on my Sony stage 2 speakers. It sounded HORRID ! It also fails to keep its memory, after setting such an *********** built in equalizer, every time i turned the bakkie off it would reset the settings and the radio channels. Eventually the installer replaced it with another BSM1210BT which then kept its memory. BUT, it never allowed any phone to connect to bluetooth, i had tried 2 samsungs and an Iphone with no success. Even though its advertised with Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities. After being a pain to the installer going back 3 times for this **** radio, i then reached out to Black Spider themselves who had no clue on how to resolve the issue. Rather they advised me to go to another service provider who charged me extra to rewire the radio. STILL, the same faults occurred. I have a 12 inch Targa Titan connected to a 11500 watt Targa 4 channel amp. x2 Targa Tweeters and 5 inch Sony stage 2 speakers. The quality of the sound system is really good and it should be rattling my bolts loose. However, connected to the Black Spider Radio it failed to impress, even when the amp was set at max on all channels. I eventually had enough and asked the first installer to rip out the black spider radio and install a Pioneer Mixtrax. And wow what a difference it made just swapping out and paying more for a reputable brand, now my bakkie can be heard from miles away. Nothing else was touched besides removing the Black Spider radio. Think twice before trusting this product as it is of poor quality, go for your trusted brands and take my mistake as an example. I purchased the 1st unit: Which was sluggish. Bluetooth did not communicate from device to the unit - it just froze when attempted. Tried Android Auto which mostly did not connect even after setup. Apps did not work properly even after connected. Aux in also did not work. Attempted to contact the manufacturer but to no avail. Naturally placed a negative review on the platform where it was purchased and lo and behold the manufacturer (owner) suddenly contacts me apologizing as he said they had a few faulty units and offered a different unit at the same cost which was supposedly a discount. Also said they had software issues hence did not initially assist. I purchased the 2nd unit and removed the review in good faith: This unit didnt even turn on. I sent a video showing this (all the while paying the installer each time it had to be reconnected...). The sales manager made excuses saying it was incorrectly connected and other incorrect reasons. I was forced to replace the negative review as I once again received bad service. The owner again apologized as he said his sales manager had mistakenly packed a faulty unit and sent it to me! Still trying to be amicable I accepted the 3rd unit: This unit drained my car battery overnight. My installer was flabbergasted. He has installed all my car units for over a decade now. I had to get my car boosted and computer reset as the drain messed with the ecu. It also had marks on the unit where the both usb slots had obviously been used before. I sent a video once again to the owner of this but he insisted that it was new. Finally: I contacted the owner simply requesting a refund as this was about 1 week from receiving this unit. He stated that he would refund but deduct the courier costs of replacing the previous units of R645!
