I recently stayed at Black Brick Sandton hotel for 3 nights, but my departure was marred by a frustrating incident. As we were driving out, the boom gate hit my car, leaving it with dents and scratches. What's more concerning is the unprofessional management of security at this hotel. Despite being called to the scene, the management's response was inadequate, and instead of taking accountability, they issued a written warning to the security personnel on duty.
What's even more alarming is that the security team confirmed the gates lack sensors, and multiple incidents like this have occurred in the past. The fact that the same thing happened to the car behind us further highlights the hotel's negligence in maintaining a safe environment for guests.
Given the hotel's failure to prioritise guest safety and take responsibility for their security lapses, I strongly advise potential guests to reconsider their stay at the hotel.
