I'm writing to express my disappointment with the service experience I had with my Omoda C5 at Penta Motor group in Menlyn On Monday, I brought my vehicle in for its first scheduled service, but upon collection, I discovered that the sensors were not functioning properly. I returned the car on Thursday, and the issue was attributed to the cold weather. However, given that it's currently winter in South Africa and we've experienced colder days, I find it implausible that this issue would suddenly arise immediately after servicing. As a customer, I expect a higher level of quality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, my experience has left me feeling dissatisfied with the service and the communication I received. I would caution others to carefully consider their decision when choosing a service centre for their vehicle.
I recently stayed at Black Brick Sandton hotel for 3 nights, but my departure was marred by a frustrating incident. As we were driving out, the boom gate hit my car, leaving it with dents and scratches. What's more concerning is the unprofessional management of security at this hotel. Despite being called to the scene, the management's response was inadequate, and instead of taking accountability, they issued a written warning to the security personnel on duty. What's even more alarming is that the security team confirmed the gates lack sensors, and multiple incidents like this have occurred in the past. The fact that the same thing happened to the car behind us further highlights the hotel's negligence in maintaining a safe environment for guests. Given the hotel's failure to prioritise guest safety and take responsibility for their security lapses, I strongly advise potential guests to reconsider their stay at the hotel.
I was erroneously double debited for a car insurance premium, despite being assured that the policy had been cancelled. When I attempted to contact ABSA Insurance to rectify the situation, I was placed on hold for an unacceptable period of two hours.
