My experience with blissful day spa in morning side Sandton was not to my complete satisfaction. I had bought a voucher via the Fomo app which costed R580 for 2 people 90 minutes treatment. I had made my booking on Monday ( April 20th) confirmed at 08:54 for Wednesday (April 22nd) the fine print of the fomo voucher gives a disclaimer on a 72 hour cancellation policy which is valid , the confirmation booking which I was sent mentioned a 48 hour rescheduling and cancellation policy. It came to my attention on Tuesday evening that I would have to be in meetings all day for work on Wednesday which would result me having to reschedule my spa appointment, due to receiving this information after working hours I saw it fit to text them first thing Wednesday morning. I did so, at first they communication throughout Monday when the booking was done was perfect , however I texted them on Wednesday 09:00 am to let them know about my plan on rescheduling to possibly another day when they would have a slot and I was told about the 48 hour rescheduling policy which I understand, however if I calculated my hours from when the booking was confirmed to the time I texted them about me having to reschedule it was still within the 48 hours in which I had initially booked. Due to a delay in response on the day I had to call them and that’s when I got a response saying “ there’s nothing they can do on their side I was supposed to ask for clarity about the rescheduling policy like other customers normally do” I then responded that if this is a frequently asked question why did they not find it necessary seeing how close I have made my booking that I would have no space for any rescheduling or cancellation, I did not receive an answer , I was just told if I don’t show up I forfeit the entire voucher, mind you the voucher is valid for 3 months . My booking was initially for 12:00-13:30 however due to their delayed responses in the morning of Wednesday I could only then leave my meetings at 11:30 and I stay over an hour away from the location. I explain this to the lady I have been chatting to on WhatsApp and over call that I will be late and I’d still expect the full experience due to their communication slacking that morning and being unreasonable and her reply was that I have to ask and beg the misuse ladies to extend my time . I had then only arrived at the location at 12:59 and was told I could only be given half the experience and if I want the full experience I’d have to pay extra full experience being ( welcome drinks , 60 minute hot stone massage, 30 minute facial with a choice of a foot or Indian head massage and pool access) I only got the hot stone massage which lasted an hour long and only received the welcome drink after the treatment and I was told the pool is only for residents and if I wanted the pool I’d have to drive to the capital hotel . The spa was fair in the treatment but not a good value for money , my partner and I were really looking forward to receiving this treatment however due to work obligations he could not make it on the Wednesday. I would not recommend this place and expect at least a lot more clearer communication when it comes to the rescheduling policy. A text within the booking confirmation to alert me that if I need for reschedule it would be impossible would not have been hard to type as well as it means I would have been expected to reschedule the booking even before doing it in that sense

I had an appointment for a brow wax and tint at 5 pm. on 26/12/25, I arrived at quarter to 5 pm., doors was locked, I thought maybe beautician is still on her way, I waited until quarter past 5 pm. no one showed up. On Christmas Day I received an email and sms confirming the date and time of my appointment and if I cancel I have to do so before 48 hours of my appointment. Seems to me Blissful Beauty do have enough customers, that is why they do not let you know if they cancel from their side without letting their customer know, I am not important enough. This morning I phoned, but the phone rang and rang and then went to voicemail. I would not recommend Blissful Beauty to any of my friends and family. Melanie
