We booked a table for Sunday, 21 December 2025 at 17:00 (SAST).
From arrival, the experience was unacceptable. There was no parking available near the restaurant, and we were not permitted to park at the Dolphin Beach Hotel. We were forced to park almost 1 km away along Marine Drive, which is unreasonable for a restaurant of this standing.
The condition of the restaurant is poor and does not reflect what is advertised online. Furniture is visibly worn, with damaged upholstery on chairs, and the floors were dirty, indicating a lack of proper maintenance and basic cleanliness.
There is also false or misleading advertising regarding menu offerings. The website clearly states that sushi is half-price on Wednesdays and Sundays from 16:00. At the restaurant, we were told this applies only to sushi on the conveyor belt, not the menu sushi. When this discrepancy was raised, the manager was unaware of the website promotion, which is unacceptable. They have since changed it on their website stating "Applicable only to Sushi Belt Items"
This experience reflects poor management, misleading marketing, and a decline in standards. We will not be returning and do not recommend this establishment.
