It took us an hour to drive there based on a recommendation to try the Blue Kiwi. However, it was a total let down. I ordered nachos and asked if i could have chicken on it which cost an additional R40. To my dissappointment, the little but of chicken served with it you could barely even see it, allot of cheese layered and barely no salsa. I could have just bought a bag of chips and cheese and eaten it. The smashed avocado was not fresh, but brown already. After raising concerns about the pirtion of the chicken, the manager said that their products are all free range and it also costs them more money. This is NOT your customer’s problem on what you pay for what you offer. Giving a customer 5 small pieces of chicken for R40 is a *******! A discount, R7 less was given. It shows what tou actually think of customers! A big no and serving it with avo gone brown is a huge dissapointment! I could not even finush half of it.

This place is a sham. They promote vegan and organic products / food between the retail part and the restaurant but most of the food that is claimed to be vegan isn't made with all vegan products. The owner treats her staff like ****. There is a wall between the restaurant and the kitchen area and you can hear everything that is being said to the staff when you sit close by. It is a miracle she even still have staff and not to mention the people supplying goods. While you pay very expensive prices for the smallest portions in the restaurant the small business owners are not paid for weeks or months on end and you see them entering the retail shop or the restaurant looking for the owner just to get paid what they are due. Do not even try to shop in the retail part because you won't know if the sell by date or the best before date has been changed. The only way you will know is if you see those white stickers that is placed over the actual dates. I have also seen the owner remove a bowl of food from the fresh fridge to taste it using her fingers and then she put it back into the fridge saying that the sell by date must be changed because the food is still good. If I could give this place zero stars I would because the owner doesn't deserve any. She is exploiting her staff and disregarding her customers. Do not let me start with her manageress in the restaurant who do not know what she is doing so she runs around most of the time trying to look busy but you can see she doesn't know what she is doing and tries to get other staff to do what she can't do after being with the place for a year already. I used to come to this place every day when it first opened up back in 2020 but after Alex left things slowly went bad up to the point where now you can feel the atmosphere is very heavy unwelcoming as soon as you walk in. Most of the staff is trying their best to be friendly and helpful but you can see the place is getting them down. It is really a pity that people like this owner is allowed to operate businesses at the cost of their staff and the customers who are supposed to pay such ridiculous prices for food or goods that is really not up to the standards she claim it is.
