I had my vehicle serviced at Bosch Hatfield around January/February 2025, which included a paid replacement of the Fan/V-Belt. However, during the festive season, I experienced a serious mechanical failure while driving. The battery stopped charging, which disrupted dashboard readings and disabled my electric windows. This posed a significant safety risk. Fortunately, I was traveling in a convoy with my brothers and we were near a farm holiday destination. I had to leave my vehicle behind and purchase a new belt, which my brother—who is a qualified mechanic—installed. The images attached show the broken belt that was removed: it is visibly frayed and snapped, suggesting premature failure. I still have the belt in my possession and am willing to present it to Bosch Hatfield as evidence. Given that I had paid for a new belt during my service, this incident raises serious concerns about the quality of the replacement or whether it was replaced at all. Had I been alone, especially as a woman on the road, this situation could have been far more dangerous. I am not satisfied with the service received and urge Bosch Hatfield to investigate this matter thoroughly. Safety and transparency should be non-negotiable.

I booked my car at this dealership on the 13 June 2023. My BMW X3 had no problems and had never gave me any engine lights until after collecting the car after service and it started loosing power and gave me a Drive drain alert which Quinton from Bosch Hatfield told me its an engine light. But now I am expected to take my children's money and pay for towing from Mpumalanga to Pretoria. They are still not acknowledging anything or excusing themselves for the inconvenience causes. I bet they will also try to come up with a plan to make me pay for their mess also.

I have had the worst experience at Bosch service centre Hatfield. I took my car in for a major service and they charged be more than R6000 for a small Hyundai i20. When I received the car back they explained that my rims are bent and they can do nothing about it. When I took my car in to have it looked at a specialist they explained that the only issue is that my brake pads were worn and needed replacing. This was not even checked by Bosch. Had they did a basic check of my brake pads the issue would have been sorted out. I have further never had an issue with my handbrake but after the service my handbrake does not work. No matter how hard I pull it up, it does not take. I also discovered that my one headlamp was out and it was not reported or replaced. I have never received my car back from a major service in such a state in my life and I will discourage any person from taking their car for a service at Bosch Hatfield

I sent my car in for a service at Bosch Hatfield and after getting it back the problems started. Firstly, the (fully functioning) aircon compressor was removed and replaced with one that was dropped and warped to the point that it shredded the car’s fanbelt. The (fully functioning) wiper washer pump also stopped working and has visible tool marks on it from someone fiddling around with it. According to the technician who had to fix my car after we figured out how much Bosch Hatfield maimed and ******ed it, the compressor had to have been dropped from a considerable height, and probably also from a different vehicle. Bosch Hatfield’s explanation: the workshop technician no longer works for them, so it’s not their problem. Service advisor: Quinton Mkhehlane. Follow up service advisor/assistant manager: Charene Rex. Peng Investments (Pty) Ltd t/a Leo Haese Pretoria.
