"Dear Bossa Soneike Management/regional team I am writing to express extreme concern and outrage regarding a serious food safety breach at your restaurant on 12/01/26. A wire was found embedded in my 5-year-old son's burger, posing a potentially life-threatening risk of choking or internal injury gum or tongue. This incident is completely unacceptable and demands immediate and decisive action. Given the risk, I immediately rejected the food and will not be consuming it. I insist on a thorough investigation into this matter and expect assurance that concrete measures will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. I request an urgent response regarding the actions you will take to address this critical issue and ensure customer safety. The thought of what could've happened to my child is deeply distressing, and I'm compelled to ensure this never happens to another family. Sincerely, A.smith

We had planned to celebrate my 7-year-old daughter's birthday at Bossa with our family, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Despite confirming our booking on February 3rd and reconfirming just yesterday morning, we arrived only to be told that they had double-booked our space. Instead of honoring our reservation, they suggested we move to an indoor area downstairs—far from the play area—where we wouldn’t have a clear view of the children. This was not a suitable alternative, and my daughter was devastated when we had to pack up and leave. To make matters worse, neither of the managers on duty offered any apology or explanation. This level of mismanagement and lack of customer care is completely unacceptable.

Arrived with a good attitude, but one interaction with the host or manager ruined my entire mood. A waiter came over to check our IDs and I gave my friend's ID who had just left so that he doesn't have to do it again. He checked her ID and said, "October would probably be fine." I then told him her birthday was two weeks ago so she is 18. The manager/host came over and then took her ID and the waiter asked her, "October is probably still okay?" I then said the exact same thing I told the waiter, that her birthday was two weeks ago. This lady then said to me with anger in her voice, "You can leave if you are going to have an attitude. He is just doing his job." I told her that I understand but what I don't understand is why her age is an issue if her birthday was two weeks ago. She stared me up and down then left. She then probably assigned a different waiter. He came over and checked everyone's IDs again. She kept on coming over to our table and staring at us. Specifically at me and my friend. She made us so uncomfortable that we paid and left. I read other reviews and talked to other people who also complained about her. Also their policies do not apply to everyone. They told the black people they would not accept photos of IDs , but accepted the white people's photo IDs. I'm not sure if it was for everyone but they did do that with our group.

Service is poor...pathetic...n much more... on the website it dhow their closing at 11...when u get there...9:30 the waiter stands on u to remind u there closing in 30 mins...n they would do that every 5 mins...couldn't even swallow my food... n overall the service is bad...big no

Went out to celebrate mom's birthday. My partner ordered the ribs and calamari combo, but when the food came to the table, there was a smell/odor that came from the ribs. Asked for the manager, eventually showed up and we told them about the ribs. They then asked if we'd like to order something else. We ordered something else, however, no apologies were made for the inconvenience, no discount was offered whatsoever, and it genuinely was an inconvenience as how does one eat after being served meat that is off. Unbelievably bad service. Genuinely upsetting.

**** man the service is poor at bossa i was there yesterday they are soo ****** because im black the next ill come wth the EFF an we wil see the manager an we shall tear bossa apart an turn that place up side down and that is a promise ill make sure that is in the news papiers soo all south african too see a restaurant and bar is meant for all people not just for certain people

planned a baby shower at Bossa in Soneika which took place yesterday 6 Ma. When I initially made the booking, I made the booking with a waiter whose name escapes me. I then asked whether we can bring cake inside for the guests, and it was confirmed that yes we can bring cake inside, when asking if there is any fee involved in brining anything that is not bought in Bossa, it was confirmed that there is no charge when I got there Theresa and the other manager on duty stopped me and advised this is a lot of cake I am brining in and there will be a charge, to which I responded that this wasn’t what was discussed with me when making the booking, but that I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with setting up everything before the guests had arrived and couldn’t speak about this with her now. I carried on with setting up I phoned Friday evening just to confirm if everything is in order and got through to Theresa and she asked me how the tables were to be set up and i confirmed the i need it in 2 large rows but to my surprise she confirmed When we got there I was told that the tables will be left as is because of the amount of guests, but previously I confirmed with Thesesa I want it set up a certain way and this threw out my planning completely. The guests started arriving and we started with the program, when ordering the food it took a while for the food to come, and guests who ordered food first were getting their food roughly an hour after ordering, and they had to keep asking for their toast and fries which was supposed to come with their omellotte. When one of the guests (my aunty)went to ask the waiter when she will be getting her latte, Bandile rudely said to my aunty that there is not enough cups.. to which my aunty responded to say that she is the customer and she should not be affected by the fact that they running out of cups. Overall there was no tram work, wd had 1 waiter for 30 to 30 guests, really? There were used plates standing with no one coming around to remove it. I was a huge Bossa fan until today's experience, this experience left a bitter taste in my mouth.
