Disappointed a
I bought blue ribbon brown bread from them on the 6th December 2025 in the evening. The following morning when I was preparing lunch i found mold on the bread. I went again on the 10th to buy same bread and guess what? Yup, mold again on the bread. I went to the shop today(11 December 2025) to inform them. They couldn’t assist me. They sent me away because i didn’t have a receipt. I go to Spar everyday and all those cashiers know me and my family but they couldn’t help me because i didn’t keep the receipt. Im extremely disappointed

Terrible customer service from Supervisor at Boston Spar Bellville.
I had the most horrible experience at Boston Spar in Bellville by a Supervisor named Laurencia. For a supervisor, her customer service was disgusting and down right rude. I really don't know what example is she to the staff, when she is the one training the same staff. This lady made me chase after her and did not speak or answered me, until I asked for someone higher in charge, who was the boss. I was totally put off by the service of the Supervisor Laurencia, who I told to really work on her customer service. I really don't know how is she training new people with her attitude with customers. Please help me on how to deal with this matter Hellopeter?

Specials not going off at till
Im writing this as a final straw. Almost every other shopping trip there is an issue with the pricing, waht is on the shelf is different to the till. Most of the times I do check and get it corrected there and then, but sometimes Im in a hurry or I forget, it shouldn’t have to be a constant thing of checking every little sale item was discounted. The latest mishap I found out at home, I posted on their Facebook page hoping to get assistance only to find my comment deleted and ignored. There was a manager’s special ( no end date, I even took a picture because that has become the expectation) only realised when I got home that it didn’t go off. The second star is for the (mostly) friendly staff.

Impressed with Boston Spar
Boston spar is just one amazing spar always friendly staff and they have such delicious Pizzas which is not over priced like most pizza places
