My twin sister and I were given a birthday gift of a dinner at Boujee Restaurant in Cape Town. She make the booking for Sunday 16 October at 18H00. The booking was confirmed and she received an sms yesterday morning reminding her of the booking. Fast forward 17H55 we arrived at the restaurant and was told by the service staff that the chef had called in sick that morning and we could not be accommodated. Why were we not informed earlier? Why did we receive the sms confirming the appointment? I spent 2 hours travelling there and back. Justifiably incensed, I asked to speak to the manager. First off she said the chef had been in an accident. So, did he call in sick or was he in an accident? Red flag! Daniela (the manager) hemmed and hawed and said she had called all the people who reserved to tell them that the appointment was cancelled. My sister received no such call. Daniela checked her phone and apologised that she called the wrong number. So, from the confirming sms received at 8H08 till 18H00 why could we not have been informed that we were wasting our time and petrol? This is incompetence and mismanagement at the highest level!!! We asked for a refund and to be compensated for petrol as we had not been informed. Compensation was flatly refused and we were told to make another booking. Hell no!!! We will not set our foot there again !!!!!

To all suppliers: In & Out Properties the owner of Boujee Restaurant do not pay you for products/services rendered by you to them. The owner Liam Vandiar assured me countless times that they will honour our agreement.
