I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a defect on a vehicle I purchased recently.
In September 2025, I purchased a 2016 Mini Cooper from Chery Roodepoort/ Brothers Automotive. At the time of purchase, the vehicle appeared to be in good working condition. However, less than six months after taking delivery of the vehicle, the Central Information Display (CID) has completely stopped functioning.
The CID is a core component of the vehicle, responsible for critical functions such as vehicle settings, infotainment/ navigation, and system notifications. Its failure significantly affects the usability, safety, and value of the vehicle. I believe this defect indicates that the vehicle was not of acceptable quality or reasonably durable at the time of sale.
I am disappointed over this as the service has been good however the ball has been dropped. I need to get an urgent resolution to this matter.
