I went to Bryanston Vet on Saturday at 12:15 with my son in-law's dog as he was away on holiday I was told I had to wait for 2 hrs as they were very busy but could make an appointment for 2pm which I did and the person at the front desk asked what was the problem with the dog to which I informed her he needed a checkup and I suspect he had ringworm which I had treated and wanted to know if it had cleared up. I arrived at 2pm and had to wait for 45min before the vet saw us. I went to pay the bill only to find out that the rate on a weekend is nearly double the normal rate which I was not informed when I was booking the dog in. The receptionist could have had the decency to tell me the rate for week end as she knew there was no urgency to see the vet. Just a ******* Bryanston Vet. Nothing they could do to reduce the rate!! Will never use this ******* company again..

Wow, I wrote an honest review about them giving me false information that was confirmed by a second opinion just to get me to pay more after charging me 15k for one night no surgery was done and they had the review removed. Everything I said was true so makes me think they are trying to hide the truth now. These guys falsely said my dog needs more treatments than was actually required. They pray on ppl who care about their animals and then have bad reviews removed to keep their records clean. Dis on you!!!

We would highly recommenced Bryasnton Vet Hospital. Our dog was diagnosed with cancer of the jaw/mouth. They gave us informed options and explained in detail all the different options and said we should think about it. Once we decided to operate they operated successfully and DR Greg Irvine-Smith was excellent explaining all the pros and cons and keeping us updated all the time. When the cancer re occurred they dealt with us again in a caring way. Our dog was handled with love and care by several vets we saw and they treated us with care. All the vets were knowledgeable and caring.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Went to pick up my baby and took her somewhere else… BVH couldn’t even determine what is wrong but was happy to charge me 15k for one night stay!!! (No surgery done) My fur baby was famished and had no water in her cage when I got her. If you care about your pet DONT bring them here. They phoned me the next day to say she needs to have another extraction and is still critical however the second option was that no extraction is required and she is stable. They also added the charges AFTER I informed them I am coming to pick her up!! They are money driven, ***********, and basically **** to get me to pay more. DiSGUSTING how they pray on ppl who would do anything to save their baby. PLUS their bedside manner is atrocious…. PS they didn’t diagnose her, I told them what it was the next day.

After a harrowing attack by a large dog, I thought I might lose my little fur-baby, Toby. Our usual vet gave us some tough options, but Bryanston Veterinary Hospital stepped in immediately, reassuring us they would do everything possible to save him. Thanks to their incredible care and compassion, one month later, Toby is back home — happy, healthy, and trauma-free. The staff at BVH have truly become like family to us. Seeing him content and excited to see his nurses feels like a miracle. Forever grateful for their kindness and expertise! 💙🐶 #VeterinaryCare #FurFamily #Grateful

What an amazing and professional facility. Every single staff member is friendly and helpful. The doctors really cared about our girl, Dawn. She had to stay in hospital for eight nights, we never stressed or worried once. We went to see her during visitors’ hours, and could clearly see that she was well taken care of and treated with dignity and respect. Her healing journey is ongoing, and her doctor keeps us informed and continues to be supportive. To Dr. Collie and Dr. Pretorius, thank you so much for saving Dawn’s life.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO BRYANSTON VET! THEY WILL LET YOUR ANIMALS DIE! GO TO FOURWAYS VET INSTEAD! Bryanston Vet is an absolute disgrace and should NOT be trusted with the life of any animal. This so-called "vet" is nothing but a heartless, money-hungry operation that doesn't care about pets or emergencies. Last night, I rushed my kitten there with an open wound, having called ahead to confirm they were ready to help in an emergency. But when I arrived, the receptionist was clueless and completely unprepared. No one seemed to care that I had a severely injured kitten who needed URGENT medical attention. I waited far too long while NOTHING was being done. During this time, I started reading reviews about Bryanston Vet and was horrified. Story after story of pets being MISDIAGNOSED, IGNORED, and LEFT TO DIE. They make you wait while your pet suffers, just so they can squeeze every cent out of you with no intention of providing proper care. I couldn’t sit there any longer and risk my kitten’s life. I immediately went to Fourways Vet, and the difference was staggering. Within a MINUTE of arriving, my kitten was being treated by an incredible vet named Jason. The team at Fourways Vet was efficient, compassionate, and truly cared about saving her. Thanks to them, she is now safe and recovering at home. BRYANSTON VET IS A DEATH TRAP. They are NOT an emergency vet, they DO NOT care about your animals, and if you go there, you are putting your pet’s life at risk. Take my advice and stay far away. Go to Fourways Vet, where they actually care and will do everything to save your pet.

Very bad experience with Dr Pretorius, was quoted R32000 to get my Yorkie ears fixed due to constant scratching. Paid the vet cash (no medical aid) and was told he would do one ear then once healed he would do the other. After the second ear was completed and was leaving was told I need to pay another R32000 of which I paid but did ask to meet with Dr Pretorius to discuss this payment. I was told he was away on holiday and that he would call me when his back. 2 months later I haven't received a call so I made an appointment to see Dr Pretorius. After been told there's nothing I could do I took it on the chin BUT now my Yorkie is scratching her ears 24/7 again. Went to see another vet and was told that I was over charged and that Dr Pretorius did not do a the operation correctly and that now I would have to fork out more cash to get it fixed properly (significantly cheaper). I'm sure I'm gonna get a whole industry standard explanation why it has nothing to do wiith his workmanship and somehow justify the money he took from me. R64k without any results.
