In my 20 odd years of being a responsible adult, and dealing with various different companies across multiple industries, I can solemnly swear that I have never, ever had such a positive experience with a company as I have had with BT Games and in particular, Gunther. I had an issue where an expensive controller of mines was breaking. Gunther went above and beyond to help me. Normally employees of big organizations simply tell you to go fly a kite, but not Gunther. He did everything I could have wished for and I am extremely grateful to him for putting in the time and effort to resolve my issue when it would have been easier to simply turn me away. He called me every day to give me an update on the situation. He was easy to talk to and showed genuine concern and understanding for my situation. Thanks to Gunther, BT Games has forever earned my trust and I will try my best to make any future gaming purchases from BT Games. You have earned a customer for life! Gunther,I hope that have a wonderful holiday and a great Christmas! More companies need employees like Gunther and this world would become a better place for consumers.

Good Day everyone. The following is how attitude effects your customers. A little while back I purchased an Accessory for my Xbox Series S. The accessory was labelled “Made for Xbox”. After Purchase I went home and Tried to connect my accessory to my xbox just to find out it is blocked because it is “untrusted”(According to My series S) So I took it back to my local BT games at Clearwater. Asking if we can do a refund or work something out, just to be told “It doesn’t work like that”. The Employee working on the day of purchase was very friendly, don’t get me wrong. However the taller much older employee has an attitude that speaks for itself. On the day of return I filled in a form regarding the accessory so that it can be booked for testing. I was clearly told that I will receive an email regarding the update or news about my accessory. The day of return was a Wednesday and I was told that I will have an update by Friday. No email was received over a span of 8 days. I decided to go to the BT games and just hear for myself. I walked in, greeted politely. And asked if there is any news about my accessory. The Taller older employee that I mentioned earlier was the one helping me (If you can even call it helping) As I asked for an update I was told “I called 3-4 times and Nothing. I can’t help you if you don’t answer your phone” I then Told him that I was told that an email will be sent. After he said”What’s the difference between an email and a phone call” I don’t know about anyone but I don’t answer my phone for a number I don’t know. Because 90% of the time it’s a spam call. So then he handed me my accessory and told me that everything is working and they did test it. I got home and low and behold, still doesn’t work. I’m not mad because the accessory isn’t working,Because it’s not theirs. I fully understand that. I’m mad about the level of disrespect this guy is handling he’s customers. So BT games at Clearwater,Would not recommend.

Dear BT Games Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received from your Mall of Africa branch regarding a faulty Nintendo Switch 2 console purchased on 18 June 2025. I bought two Nintendo Switch 2 devices as gifts. Both were opened, configured, tested in-store, and then boxed. Upon delivery, one device worked perfectly, while the other failed to power on. I returned the faulty unit to the store on 30 June 2025, where staff confirmed it would be sent to CORE for further testing. At no point during the purchase or return process was I informed about your liquid damage policy, nor was I made aware that I would be liable for courier costs should liquid damage be detected. The result from CORE indicated liquid damage, which I strongly dispute given the device was only handled during initial testing and then boxed. Since then, I have had to repeatedly follow up with your store for updates. There has been no proactive communication from your side. I even visited the store in person and was told to contact CORE directly—despite the fact that I purchased the device from BT Games and not CORE. On 6 July 2025, I had a lengthy conversation with your staff, who promised to provide an update and courier cost so I could resolve the matter. Yet again, I received no follow-up and had to call back on 7 July 2025 to get the payment details. This experience has been extremely disappointing. Your policies were not communicated transparently, and your customer service has been unresponsive and dismissive. I am requesting: A full explanation of why the warranty was voided. A breakdown of the courier charges and justification for why I am liable. A resolution that reflects fair treatment and accountability from BT Games. I hope you will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and respond promptly.

Bought a mouse from "Edgy Sales" on takealot.com. If you look it up, you get a website, edgysales.co.za, which redirects to the BT Games website. They refused to honor the mouse's warranty after the left click stopped working and **** to takealot, saying it was a Windows setting and that the mouse was working fine. I tested the mouse on three different computers, and they all had the same left-click issue. BT Games won't honor warranties.

I had a very bad experience with the manager of BT Games at Clearwater, Steven Moosa. He was uncooperative and refused to help us. I purchased an Xbox Elite Controller on Monday, 28/04/2025. After buying the item, I was not happy with it as it is faulty. I went to return the item in-store today on 02/05/2025, which is within the 10-day period. The manager never listened to me as a customer but refused to refund me. It is impossible to determine if the product is faulty without opening the package and inspecting it. As a consumer, I have the right to inspect the item to ensure that it meets the expected standard. The Consumer Protection Act prioritizes consumer rights, and denying a return based on opening the package may be seen as unfair or unreasonable. Has anyone gone through this same experience, trying to return an item only to find out that store policies contradict the Consumer Protection Act? Sent from Mail for Windows

I wish there was a minus rating! BT games Clearwater Mall are a pathetic bunch to say the least. I am totally disgusted in the service received from them and their staff is clueless. I bought Valorent points(VP) / Through RIOT from them on Monday 23rd of December 2024. When I tried to redeem the points on my game using the BT games printed invoice it gave the error that the voucher/points have already been redeemed. They had no idea how to assist me or at least refund me. Reginald made a call to a supposedly regional manager in PTA and the phone was given to me and I was told it is not there problem and I should take it up with a USA company. I stated to them that I did not bought it from another company but through them. They still have not refunded me and simply said they cannot help me. So in other words BT games are ******* *****ing customers money with no returns! BT games I will never ever support you again. You should not be playing in the gaming space if you have no clue how it works!!!!!
