EACON Building and renovations
This post is related to people who are interested in doing renovations or construction work. This is an NHBRC owned business called EACON owned by EBRAHIM ALLIE from Centurion but originally from Cape Town. His family owned a company who did tender work in the Western Cape. We were recommended by people close to us that this company is trustworthy and they have done work with him in the past. We had signed a contract with him to renovate our home in. We were told the renovation would take a few months. It has now been almost 2 years since and the work has not been completed as per the contract. We paid the owner in increments to complete certain task at the site. As from July 2024 work at the sight had started going at a slow pace and found that he has taken a number of shortcuts .When consulted with Ebrahim we were told that we should not worry as “we are on track with the schedule.” From October rumours around had come to us that the owner is bankrupt and will be running away soon. As soon as we heard this we approached him out of concern and were guaranteed it was false. 2 weeks went by back and forth with no response and no work being done on the site . In December we were made aware that 5 or more homes were also using the same contractor and were experiencing the same issues. Ebrahim has gone off the face of the earth with peoples hard earned monies. He is not answering or returning calls to us but is going about getting new clientele in a “new area” who he might be after to take other peoples monies. I am posting this to make people aware of this company and NOT to use him despite being registered with the NHBRC who seem to be as useless as he is. This company are clearly ******* looking to make easy cash off people doing minimal renovation and disappearing which has happened to someone in the area. He is living a luxury lifestyle, owning a Ford Raptor, BMW M2 and various properties etc. (clearly with the clientele money and not his own)

This post is related to people who are interested in doing renovations or construction work. This business does the worst ever maintenance and the workmanship is indescribable. I lodged a complaint with Consumer Protector but when they wanted to meet at the site to view his work, he refused to communicate any further and they had to close the case and referred me to the Consumer Commission which I did. I paid him +-R25 000 only to discover their poor workmanship surfacing a view weeks later and after numerous emails, they came to fix but made it even worse. Be very careful with this company or person, he takes your money and then comes up with excuses on excuses if you manage to get hold of him. He also makes up stories as he goes along and has a filthy mouth, very bad language which I will not repeat and I have proof of that.

Excellent Service and quality work.
Excellent service and quality. This company comes highly recommended. The handled my house renovations. Did all the building, painting and paving. They work very clean and are professional. They come highly recommended. Call them 074 074 4003 and ask for Bernard.

Excellent Service and quality work.

We recently employed Fabian Faisal Abrahams in Cape Town to do some work on our house. During the work he asked for a loan of R10,000 to which we agreed. He then asked for a further R10,000 to which we also agreed and he signed a document outlining the terms of the loan ie to be paid back monthly. 10 months later he still owes us R9500 and has refused to re pay us! He lied to us 39 times. His work was not good and we had to get alternative suppliers to complete the work. he also promised to supply a stair railing and over a period of 3 months he lied about this 26 times and never supplied the railing. In the end we got another supplier who did the job in a week. This person is not to be trusted. Don't lend him any money! Don't employ him.

refunds for the payment deposit of windows
We have entered on to the contract with builder by the name of Brian Zingambwe . His company is Agisang general engineering project ( reg. NHBRC 1- ********** 1). He also told us that he is having another company for aluminium windows . We accepted the quotation that was R40170 and we paid R30000 as a deposit. The companynname for windows is Fairvalue Alluminium CC.He only managed to put 03 windows amounted to R4620. One of the windows when we tried to open *****s were falling apart handle broken. We notified him, he promised to fix but nothing till date. We asked him to cancel the order for windows , he refused saying he already made windows. He keep on promising to bring and install windowsbut nothing. We asked him again on the 30 November, this time he came with the story that we owe him the money for construction, for additional work that he has done. The additional work that was never mentioned to us as client. All along we only knew that according to the plan the house is 280sqm. Now is telling us about extra 62sqm that was never communicated with us.

<p>At Best: This man has mis-managed, mis-led and is misguided.</p> <p>At worst: He has deliberately defrauded many people out of a lot of money. He has no idea how to quote accurately for the work - he produces a 'creative' and flexible quote, sometimes showing VAT and sometime not...negotiates a price, ask for a large deposit and then...somehow manages to convince people that he knows exactly what he is doing. He does not. He lies, manipulates and takes no responsibility for his actions.</p> <p>I personally have been de-frauded out of R500 000. Assurances of money being used to pay deposits to sub-contractors for slab/roof/window & doors...months went by and the site came to a standstill. No deposits had been paid, his labour force had not been paid and his brother admitted that the money was gone. JARON KAVAT was in Bali for a month surfing....</p> <p>I have since found many others who are owed substantial amounts, from Talisman, to flooring contractors, plumbers etc...as well as another family in Camps Bay who paid him R200 000 as a deposit and then the work never commenced. DO NOT give him any money . He is now 'robbing Peter to pay Paul'...told me he had another job lined up and would start to pay me back, which of course means the same thing will happen to the next unsuspecting client. </p>

What supposed to be a beautiful extension and upgrade to our house turn into a nightmare. He did seems very professional but not able to finish the work and run of with money already paid.
