The staff member who served me had horrible attitude. My main complaint is the terrible baked cheese cake, it was crumbling and tasted old. Like it has been is the fridge for long before selling it to me. I am really disappointed

I ordered cupcakes at cakes for Africa Willowpark, made an immediate payment on the 10th of October in the morning, worked out all the requirements with an assistance from a lady named Candice via email. I sent the proof of the immediate payment via email and it was acknowledged by Sonja. My pickup date and time was 13th October at 08h30..I arrived 30 mins early and waited as they were completing my order...before my order was handed to me, a lady came by and stated that payment did not reflect..I showed them my POP and went to an extent of showing them from my app thay it was immediate with the amount and indication..they called Sonja who is apparently the owner as she loudly said it to my face. I narrated the same story and asked that they check their system..she insisted that I won't get my order, I either need to make another immediate payment or I will have to come back tomorrow. She didn't care to try and check the system but kept telling me how its policy that says so..i asked to speak to the manager and she laughed loud and said "I am the owner"...another lady went behind the computer room and after a while called in Sonja...she came back out and said she managed to see my payment that Sonja refused to even diligently look for. I asked them to call Sonja as she really owed me an apology for how she treated me and handled my matter as a customers...she didnt apologize even when I asked her to.

Whatever you do never order a cake from Cakes for Africa they literally do not care about their clients concerns or complaints especially after you've made payment. My sister went to collect a three tier cake from them that was already assembled, my sister expressed that she felt uncomfortable traveling with a cake that was already assembled and if they could possibly deliver it at a cost to avoid it getting ruined in transit, the man assisting told her in a very rude tone that they don't do deliveries because they make a 1000 cakes on a daily basis and it would waste their time delivering to clients all over South Africa. To cut a long story short we had no cake to serve to our guests because it collapsed despite traveling at a snails pace to a venue that would typically take 30 minutes it took an hour to arrive.

Cakes for Africa doesn't respect their customres anymore. Or they rather be upfront with customers that they don't know how to make design cakes. They can only make their own cakes with no special designs. When i get home the Cake was almost falling by the side. I am a regular client but this time, they showed me flames. They were not even feeling sorry, instead the lady said I can fixed it with my hands. Imagine🥺☹️. I wish you had the space for puctures so that I can download them for everyone to see. That time I paid a huge amount. Cakes for Africa Pretoria East.

We’ve placed an order for my Dad’s 70th birthday on the 31st March, paid full amount. Today 27th April 2025, we go there to collect the order, only to find out that it hasn’t been baked, there’s no reason, just told us it’s not baked. We have an event at 12pm!!! No cake!!!
