Cape Town Fish Market - Canal Walk
So the overall experience on Wednesday the 19th of November was perfect until it wasn't.. My husband started to feel very sick - he had a fever of 38°C, chills, stomach pain, vomiting, body aches and shooting pains from his neck to his head. His fever wouldn't come down and I had to rush him to a day hospital to get some medical help, they gave him a rehydrate drip and after an hour or two the symptoms worsened. We then rushed in an ambulance to the Somerset West Government hospital.. With them taking long his symptoms got even worse he couldn't move, walk or do anything so I rushed him to Mediclinic Milnerton emergency room. They helped instantly and gave him drips for pain and prescribed some meds. We went back on Saturday morning because the medication wasn't working, they gave stronger medication but he's still in severe pain, head strobbing, vomiting and still has chills. Today is Sunday and symptoms are still the same no change so I'll be taking him to the doctor again tomorrow.
Honestly didn't expect this to happen with all the people that recommended this place for great fish food and if I knew this was going to happen we wouldn't have went here in the first place.
I definitely do not recommend this place! If you want food poisoning by all means eat here otherwise if you don't want food poisoning please just go to a different place! Our whole honeymoon turned into a nightmare moon! Update, it's now Monday, went to the doctor and it is salmonella.
