Please do not use capital air in house installers , they are un trustworthy and they also have a dishonest branch manager ( brickfield road ) They are uninsured and will not take any responsibility for any damge to you property

All my years in natal I have bought my aircon units through Capital Air. They only last some 6 to 7 years in our climate. Never had a problem before now. Bought a new aircon for my main bedroom last year in January. Today the Aircon failed to switch on and there’s obviously something wrong with the compressor. When I logged a call out with Capital Air I was told because I had not serviced the unit with Capital Air since January last year when I bought the unit, that all my warranties are now nul and void. I did have the air-conditioner serviced in March this year but I selected another company to do the service because CAPITAL AIR transport fees to travel to my home were exorbitant and far in excess of the local Aircon operator are used, namely Kyle Green air-conditioning in Ballito. It seems they were quite ready to travel to my home for a new installation but excessive travel fees for any servicing would continue throughout the life of the unit. I was told today that because they themselves had not serviced the machine my warranty on the compressor is now void. Their agent advised me that these details were contained on my purchase agreement. There is however no such information reflected on the air-conditioner agreement. I had bought the air-conditioner unit online and had no interaction with anyone other than my email message, the receipt of an invoice from them to pay before installation and my payment electronically. So beware when dealing with capital air. They are inclined to have rules that you are not advised about in purchase. Take great care with them.

This is for the AUX aircon installation company, Capital Air KZN. I would recommend that another service provider is sourced. Their electrical work was shoddy, the installation team were very rough on our house, damaged the roof, were very late and generally sloppy. Once the job was completed there were "extras" added to our invoice. This is not a well managed business.

Capital Air KZN has zero after sales service. YOUR tech was here three times, replaced my pc boards, still broken. My tech brought it in to you to test, causing paintwork that is new to be redone. It took a week for you to say "nothing wrong" while I had a hole in my wall and clearly no aircon. My tech eventually got it back and PC boards were the original ones????? The error was back and it was your cheap and nasty comms cable... I engaged with your after sales and you had no idea so had the audacity to inform me in caps, "OUR TECHNICIAN WILL NOT RETURN, YOUR CLIENT IS RUDE"....... I was the client at home and was not rude, but your tech informed me that you are the worst people to deal with. I called 3 other well known aircon companies and they refuse to touch AUX because you have attitude and your family run business is shocking. I have had it sorted bot NO THANKS TO YOU. Your after sales consultant is the rude one, I have the entire chat!!!!!! Never ever will I buy another AUX

Easy to get a telephone quote, booked the install and job done within 24 hours. The actual install took only 1.5 hours (replace bedroom aircon); installers were efficient and tidy. AUX brand seems to be good and I'm very happy with the service from Capital Air.

If I could rate less than one star I would. Hopefully I can save potential customers the frustration that I have had over the last week with this company still without resolution. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Stay well away from them unless you want heartache and to waste your money. Capital Air KZN was paid upfront on the 11th Jan 2023 (as per their demand, they wont do any work unless they are paid up front!) to service 4 air conditioner units. The main reason for this is that one of the units installed by them a few years back has had an intermittent F3 fault for a long time and now has the fault permanently and does not start up/cool. From what I have read on these aircons this fault is generally because of bad outside sensor connection or bad sensors. The "Technician" that came was clueless and kept consulting his cellphone for help. First of all told me the condenser was faulty. I told him that I doubted this. He then told me the controller PCB was faulty and he thought a new one would cost R3500 rand. This was all without testing the resistance of the sensors or checking their wiring. I watched him and all he did was open the little side cover plate which houses the connections between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. He claimed to have serviced the unit but left the unit without hosing the evaporator fins to clean them. I have photos of the corrosion between fins that should have been washed off. In addition another aircon that was "serviced" by these clowns no longer works. It was working perfectly before they came and has been doing so for years. This aircon was not one that was installed by capital air. I was told by the so called technician that the service manager would call me the next day regarding the aircon fault. Nobody phoned. We have spent days on the phone and it is impossible to speak to anyone of any authority in this company. The person(s) answering the phone are rude and unhelpful and promise return calls by the service manager which never transpire. On Wednesday evening (18th Jan) I got a phone call from someone that I assumed to be the service manager who was apologetic and said that that was not the way they do business. He promised to send more competent technicians the next day (Thursday). I was not home but they arrived on thursday and wrote a message left with the maid that they brought the wrong spares and were unable to diagnose the problem. The message said to contact "Mahmoud". We have subsequently been unable to raise him or anyone else. These people have taken our money and not provided the service that they were paid to do. My wife has made MANY phone calls to capital air but is unable to get any assistance. She has only been able to talk to the person answering the phone who on his own admission has no technical knowledge. The message that was left was written in poor English too. In the mean time we are without 2 aircons in this extreme heat and nobody at Capital Air cares a jot. Stay away from these people. Prices are not everything. These peoples after sales service in not poor, it is non existent.
