Today we went for lunch at Cappuccinos in The Grove Mall. Our waiter, Given, gave us the most terrible service. He never introduced himself to us and barely greeted us when he sat us down. Later on he took our orders and never spoke to us again until we asked for the bill. Another waiter brought our food, and our drinks arrived when we were halfway through our meal. The fact that Given never once came to us to update us, or tell us why our drinks were not coming out. I also asked for a drink recommendation and he said I'm putting him in a tight spot (mind you this was the only time he spoke to us). I mentioned to him after paying the bill that his service was terrible and instead of apologizing he just said okay, and left. He was serving other tables around us and made sure to check on them constantly. It was when he was serving the other table that we had to call him and ask for the bill.

The waffles are fresh and the newer fruit salad waffle is a winner. Service by waiters and manager are great.

Went out for supper after a hectic day, good workout and the freedom Level 2 provides. Decided on the Grove and it was the special that caught my attention - Ribs and wings. Also the waiter was a good salesman that took it their way. Ordered a drink - Steelworks as i wanted something refreshing. Little disappointing as all i could taste was bitters. Meal was good and the Jalapeno sauce with Tobasco was great. Wings were jot not really periperi but it was good. Huge portion so couldn't finish it so decided to have desert. Cake was a bit dry for a chocolate mousse. Felt like it was there a while should have been removed already. The service when the drink wasn't up to scratch was immediate. The waiter was excellent and that is what made the evening. He recommend some deserts and knew all the cakes.

Cappuccinos The Grove Mother’s day Disaster I took my Mather in law and family to Cappuccinos the Grove to celebrate Mother’s day. Initially the welcoming and seating was good. However we waited almost 1 hour for our food to arrive after complaining. Then the food arrived in peace meal – one at a time. One of the main reasons one eat out is to eat together. So the first ones receiving food had to wait for the rest to arrive whilst their food get cold. My food did not arrive at all. Once again complaining bitterly my food arrives completely COLD. Even the plate was cold and not heated like normal. When I refused to eat cold food and send it back, mandament including the owner made a huge scene about it. They implicated that it was me, the customer that is unreasonable to understand that they are busy. I had to leave the restourant not eating at all. I will show you thousands of Cappuccinos’ invoices to date. Sad to say that they lost a good customer and if they carry on like this they will follow in Spurs food steps soon.
