I and my husband took our 2023 ford bakkie (super cap) for a service at this dealership's "Car Care Workshop" in Lynwood on this past Saturday( 21 february2026 and our car was the last one so they can close for the day, After picking up our bakkie we found out that the door handle had been broken during the service and it was broken, and my husband tried to communicate with the workshop, but it was closed. We had to wait for Monday, and the manager denied that their mechanic broke our door during the service. What kind of a service provider is this? No accountability. All they care about is the money we pay, no accoutability! they are so cruel and disgusting place , we are not kids and we work hard for to maintain our cars, i would like to warn people not to ever take their cars there.

***********, lazy and likes to gas light customers Do not take your car here for anything. Went for engine repair last year which they sent to an external company to do (that part is working). The issue comes with car care workshop took them 7 times to fix various engine seal as oil was leaking over a course of year. If it not fixed now then will take it somewhere else. Took the car for diagnostics to Car Care Clinic to identify the issue to report to car care workshop that is the rear main seal. Then to the car back to Car Care Workshop and they replaced the rear main seal first it will be done same day then the next day only to be done on the 3rd day which they said latest 4 pm only to receive the car closer to 6pm. Then Pieter said to replaced the clutch plate as it is worn. Didn't have any issues with clutch before. Sent photos and the clutch plate rivets are not close to being exposed. Then got a quote for 27k to fix various things. Here are a list of issues encountered after getting back the car each time: Missing engine cover not putting oil scratches on the vehicle not closing the oil cap properly missing bolts in the engine compartment. Please do not take your car here for big repairs

My car went in for a clutch replacement and a week later my head gasket blew. This was caused by the mechanic that did not connect the main water pipe. So the damage was for their account. They kept my car for 12 weeks to fix .After getting it back its been in and out of workshops to fix their mess up. It came to a point now that my whole engine must be overhauled due to their lies and negligence. I don't know how ****mers like that are still in business. The workshop that do the overhaul of my engine will give me a full report of the findings and I will take that to MIOSA. I have asked for invoices for the parts that they replaced. It's going for 4 months and I am still waiting.

This is both lynwood and waterkloof ,our experience went like this , we took our car in 6 months ago for mechanical work (oil change ,powersteering pump,) we then drove past many nights seeing our car parked outside not in a secure area by any means then when it was time to fetch the car I found it outside dirty with the hood unlatched , I paid and took my vehicle as I was late for work . car had to be put on a flatbed 12 hours later back to the shop , after months of excuses and delays and stories they finally diagnosed it as the ecu , not admitting any fault . more months passed as they allegedly worked on our car still parked outside at night in a completely open parking lot with a veld 20m away where individuals sleep, many more excuses and months later we finally went to fetch It today paying the full bill as no compensation was done on their side even whilst we stated the issue did not previously exist , we just want our car back and to be done with them only today to fetch it with a fresh dent , windshield wipers going over the body work instead of the window and entire car dirty, washed badly in a hurry and not re assembled interior . if this all sounds like some made up nightmare , you're right and it's shockingly true , we have pictures, documents and correspondence as proof . car has to go back now for the same issue it went for the first time around and dent repair . tens of thousands later were still not rid of them and their atrocious service . lynwood branch was fully involved aswell

It is very sad and unfortunate to report on racial and class profiling by businesses, so long into our new dispensation. I recently had the misfortune of having to use the services of Car Care Workshop at Lynnwood Lane strip-mall, Pretoria. I had phoned the day before (Monday) and explained my problem to Charmain, apparently the person who coordinates all the workflow. She was pleasant, knowledgeable about vehicle inner workings and basically allayed my concerns, thereby giving me the impression that my car would be in good hands should I opt in bringing it to their workshop. We agreed that I would either bring the car the next day (Tuesday) or shortly thereafter. At huge sacrifice to my family and I, as I had to move a few appointments around in order to take advantage of the opportunity, they had offered me. I then subsequently took the 15-kilometer drive to the workshop and arrived on the Tuesday at about 07h45. I met with the guy (Deon???), who was going to work on the vehicle and the lady (Charmain) with whom I spoke to on the phone the previous day. They were both initially affable and gave me the impression that they had my best interest at heart. I again confirmed to them what I needed done, they agreed and my vehicle got booked in. I was assured that it would take about 45 min to an hour due to the minor tasks which had to be done. At the This timeline given made sense as they had just opened and there were only two (2) cars in the shop and just my car and another vehicle, which seemed like a staff vehicle, outside I then made alternate arrangements to attend to other business in the interim. There were no calls whatsoever from the workshop that they had problems with their schedule and might not be able to work on my vehicle. However, to my dismay, when I returned (4) fours later at about 12h15, to my dismay my vehicle was still in the same place where I had left it when I arrived. I could now see that the workshop was full of high-end vehicles. This gave me the impression that I was sidelined in favour of the “Bigger Purse” which the high-end vehicles offer. When I arrived and enquired about why my vehicle was not attended to. All the sudden they start jumping around and scramble to get my car on a lift. I refused, as I had given them more than ample time to attend to the car. I then expressed my dismay in no uncertain terms. The only thing they could do, is render a coy “Sorry” I am of the opinion that they would rather first cater to the more affluent clientele, in order to cash-in on the “Bigger Purse”, who are predominantly White. They put a low premium on customer service, as I surmise that they are confident that their conduct would not invite scrutiny because they predominantly cater to a certain segment of the population who “Ordinarily gets the most traction should they complain”, hence they put these clientele in the first spot, regardless of who came first. I have not experienced such bad customer service in a long time, not even from your less sophisticated competition. I surmise that I got “The Middle Finger” as soon as I left the store, because how else do they explain the disdain treatment. I find this conduct of the workshop most reprehensible and totally unacceptable. I, therefore, beg the following questions; • “How many other customers are being subjected to similar treatment, but opt to rather not pursue the matter, because they might not have the fortitude to do so?” • “Is it beneficial for me or any other person for that matter to continue being a customer of Car Care Workshop when you are subjected to this level of service? • “Am I perhaps being facetious in assuming that good customer service is reserved only for a select few or a certain sector of the community for that matter?” • How does Car Care Workshop -Management operate a business when they do not offer proper customer service experience compared to the other Car Workshops across the country? • What message do they communicate to the middle to lower-income patrons who frequent their business? • Whether Car Care Workshop -Management are profit-driven or service driven? Will we be justified in escalating the matter to Car Care Workshop -Head Office to come, have a look for themselves, and ascertain whether this particular workshop does the image of Car Care Workshop any justice? It is unfortunate that I had to proverbially; “Rock the Boat” in order to air our grievance, but I feel that we gave Car Care Workshop Management ample opportunity to remedy this situation in the interest of fair and equitable customer service, however, there has only been total indifference. If this is the service to which middle-class customers in the area, whom are predominantly Non-White, are subjected, then I am afraid it leaves much to be desired. This issue smacks of prejudice and invariably leaves a bad taste and I am sure that anyone would agree that not a single Car Care Workshop has to endure this atrocious level of customer service. I believe that Car Care Workshop Head Office can ill afford such conduct by its franchisees, not when it strives to position itself as the preferred After Market Car Service Workshop in South Africa. Furthermore, after conferring with my fellow community members, some also in the Vehicle Service field and they all concur that it goes totally against the grain of what “Great Customer Service” and “Good Governance” are all about.

Worst service ever, nobody should ever take a vehicle to them. Fix one problem and create more at your expense and they refuse to provide owner details, can only speak to manager Ruan. Very very rude. I reported them to MIOSA!!!

My vehicle went for a standard service in Nov of 2021. Upon collecting the vehicle they notified me that they replaced the brake fluid as it was dirty. That is where all my problems with my brakes started. The vehicle went back 6 times for the brakes every time (according to them something else being the problem every time the vehicle was there.) I also noticed an oil leak on the vehicle (oil filter that according to them the seal broke when fitting it - replaced by them - seems to be sorted) So after the 6 times the brakes was not sorted, and I was tired of taking it back and not getting the issue sorted. And decided to take it else where (where I found out they really *****ed up). So after inspection the rear brakes where glazed from overheating as they could not set the brakes correctly. it went back for the 7th time to sort out the glazed brakes, got it back and all seamed to be right (which it was not) after them working on it again for the 7 time, they somehow missed that the right rear brake adjuster inside the drum was seized up. And after phoning the owner Ruan, he just says the bakkie was right when I left them.

I feel compelled to share my great experience yesterday with Car Care Workshop in Lynnwood! Pieter at the desk assisted me as I needed a major service done on my Volvo. One of my head lights has blown and I mentioned I didn't budget for that as well, and we negotiated a deal. It was about 8am and I also mentioned I am pushed for time and they said the soonest might be done is 1:30pm, and they called me at 12pm to pick up my car. One of the Manager's also kindly offered to drop me anywhere. When I picked my car up it was properly cleaned. The whole experience was just fantastic and I felt I received value for money for the major service and headlight as well!
