My brother, Mr ZM Aphane, requested an accommodation for his Lil daughter during 2024. He paid a deposit which was supposed to be refunded in November 2024. He then requested me to follow-up on that since he is staying in Seshego, next to Polokwane. I personally visited CBD Residency in Pretoria to follow up on this only to be advised that the money will be refunded by end of November 2024 despite my brother's lil daughter vacating the room before June 2024. The money was not refunded as per the promise and on 23rd of January 2025, I wrote an email to CBD Residency using their provided email address, namely, Info@cbdres.co.za. I also included my brother as per his request on same email. I attached my brother's initial application, proof of several calls that I made to the following up on the refund as well as proof of my brother's bank details.
Now instead of them refunding the money, they decided to phone my brother requesting the same documents that I had sent to them, i. e Initial Application for accommodation for his lil daughter and proof of his bank account. My brother contacted me and indicated that he was surprised that the same documents that I had sent to CBD Residency copying him are now being requested by the same people. He then indicated that he will re-send the same documents again to me, and asked to once again send them to CBD Residency since he doesn't want to interact directly with them based on their lack of trust and integrity.
On the 26th of January 2025, I send another email to CBD Residency copying my brother and attached the documents from my brother again.
It must be noted that up to today, 12th of March 2025, the requested refund is still not paid back to my brother by CBD Residency. I really fail to understand as to why are they doing this and taking advantage of the situation.
I therefore request your urgent intervention on this matter.
My brother's name is Mr Zacharia Aphane, contact number +27662199951. CBD Residency's contact number is 0123220277, and their offices are in Pretoria opposite the Magistrate Court building.
I will really appreciate it if you can intervene on this matter as a matter of urgency.
It really pains me when institution such as CBD Residency takes advantage of innocent people as well as take them for a ride.
Thanking you in advance.
Richard.
