I WAS BEATEN UP BY SECURITY GUARD COZ I WAS WEARING SHORTS

27.01 after midday was walk-in to the PEP store on corner Joubert and Market Street in Johannesburg CBD. A male PEP staff member greets me and asks "where are you pants" (i was wearing short pants and a hoodie). I replied in shock "what kind of question is that" and i walk away. The guy follows me telling me to leave the store. i reply angrily now coz i feel im being harassed. i walk away and the guy keeps following an insulting me. I turn back to and demand to speak to a manager. he carries on and comes charging at me starts kicking and slapping in front of the every one there.

I was informed that he doesn't work for PEP directly but for CCJ Securty. I spoke to a Carl Sutton who promised me someone will contact me today, but no one has.

I've had to miss work coz of the physical and emotional distress brought on by being assaulted and humiliated in public by a staff member who has a problem with how women should dress.
