Rental mismanagement
Lack of disregard for clients and constant dishonesty when handling complaints, I recently bought a unit in Vila lucida and took over the property with tenant already occupying the property and agent told me that we can use the month to month lease agreement which I agreed to, first month the whole rental amount was paid fully on time, second month the rental was partially paid late but not in full, I contacted and text the agent and she couldn't give answers and couple of days later she said it was an admin error, the tenant did pay the agency, however the agency's administrators paid into the former property owners by mistake and told me that they are busy recovering the money from the former property owner, every day the promised that the money will reflect in my account the next day but that didn't happen until I received money from them 14 days later but the money was short with R2300 and was told that R900 was for maintance and R1400 was for Levies, I asked for records of what the maintenance was about, never recieved feedback, also checked with body corporate no funds was paid for levies, everytime I call their offices I'm being told that they transfering the money and it will reflect the next day in my account but till to this day I'm still waiting for the money to reflect, this bad experience has caused me a severe suffering and has affected my plans as first time buyer and I classify such acts as white collar crimes and I urge everyone to think at least 5 times before doing deals with this company or entrusting them with managing your property, in my opinion something seriously wrong there

I am deeply disappointed with the way Chas Everitt Rustenburg handled my rental experience. They are unprofessional and *********. From the very beginning, there were procedural issues that should not be overlooked. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM! Firstly, the agency did not conduct the entry inspection in my presence, as required by the Rental Housing Act. This is a clear legal obligation meant to protect both tenant and landlord, and skipping it left me vulnerable to unfair claims at the end of the lease. Throughout the lease period, communication was inconsistent and unprofessional. Messages were often ignored or promises made but never followed through on. When it came time for my deposit to be returned, I was met with resistance and excuses, despite fulfilling my obligations as a tenant. The entire experience has left me feeling exploited and mistreated. It is unacceptable for a professional agency to neglect legal rental procedures and fail to treat tenants with basic respect and fairness. I will be reporting this conduct to the Rental Housing Tribunal and Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA) if the matter is not resolved properly. I expected a much higher standard from a company under the Chas Everitt brand and would strongly caution others before dealing with the Rustenburg branch.
