Last week my wife and I popped in at the Checkers Store in Durban, Overport, The Atrium Mall.
Went through to the bakery and as I stood there waiting for the employee behind the counter that seemed to be staring away from us intentionally, I called out to him and his body language already showed his hesitance to be of any assistance. he slowly made his way to us and I ordered a pie. my wife asked him about a baked item and in an arrogant manner and body language said he does not know what is in it.
It seemed that this young man did not want to be at work or totally hated his job, being posted in a position that requires customer interaction should be held by someone that is customer centric.
I found a manager behind me and advised him of the issue, he took the young man aside and spoke to him and another lady assisted us. In the whole incident I didn't even check the items that we were served, when I got to the car I found that the pie was ice cold, yet it was in a warmer!!!!!!!!!
Checkers Overport, Please train staff to be customer Centric and don't sell cold pies.
