City Ride My Cars sold me a Hyundai Grand i10 (full cash) on 29 July 2024. They assured me it had only minor cosmetic repairs — nothing serious. We asked multiple times and the sales agent, Mpumi, confidently swore there was no major damage.
Turns out, that was a complete lie.
2 days later, Dekra and Tyre&More both confirmed the car has a welded chassis — something that’s not only dangerous but basically renders the car ******* and unfit for Uber (which is the whole reason we bought it).
I contacted them immediately — 3 days after purchase — and they dragged me for weeks. I only got to speak to the manager a full month later, and he told me, laughing:
“You can cry wherever you want, nothing will happen.”
🤯 What kind of business talks to a customer like that?
They promised to resell the car on my behalf (and take a commission, of course), but never listed it anywhere. I checked every week. Eventually, my wife pretended to be a buyer and called Mpumi — and guess what? Mpumi told her the car is already sold!
So they’re lying to me and hiding the car, hoping I’ll give up.
I took the matter to MIOSA. The dealership ignored every email and deadline. I’m not asking for miracles. I just want my refund; that’s it. I’m not asking for favors. I want what’s fair: you sold me a car that is dangerous, unusable, and *******ly repaired, and you refuse to take accountability.
City Ride My Cars is a **** operation with zero ethics. Be warned — they’ll smile while they rob you.
