28 Mar 2025, 04:51Good morning Pretty / Lihle,
Your review has unfortunately not stated all the facts, and this is why we have had to involve our legal team. You booked your rugs in with us saying that you had informed our team that we were to "handwash" the rugs, as you will note from our website and our invoice, we do not offer handwashing of rugs, we never have offered this service. It will also be noted that when you contacted our offices, you had disappearing messages set on your whatsapp messenger.
Being a company who prides itself on our clients being 100% satisfied, with your instruction and permission, the manufacturer of the rugs sent us a quote to repair the frayed edging which happened during routine cleaning. We clean thousands of rugs and this is very uncommon. We provided the Company who sold you the rugs with a video of the edging, and he in turn sent us a quote to repair the rugs for you, which we accepted, he then collected the rugs from your house with your permission, then later sent us a quote which almost 6 times the original quoted price. The manufacturer of the rugs then informed our team, on whatsapp, he was going to throw your rugs outside of his shop, as we did not now accept his highly inflated quotation. I also note you have not HelloPetered this very unethical company but rather point the finger at the company who was tasked with the cleaning of these rugs, who you are now holding accountable.
We have kept in contact with you during the whole process, even offering you to come and visit our workshop so you can see how we clean the rugs on a daily basis, we are a National company and fraying of rug edging during routine cleaning is very uncommon. We have always been polite and professional and offered to fix the frayed edging for you, even though you did not state from the outset that the rugs should be cleaned by the manufacturer or "handwashed". If this information was provided at the booking stage our team would have advised you to take the rugs back to the manufacturer. You allow the Owner of The Turkish Carpet Company who sold you the rugs to speak to our staff incredibly rudely and are completely fine with him saying he is going to throw your rugs (which you purchased directly from him) outside of his shop. Yet you are trying to damage the reputation of the Company who is actually trying to assist you in fixing of your rugs. Which in our professional opinion should not fray after one routine clean. We offered to send our van to collect the rugs for you and do whatever was needed to remedy this situation amicably for you as quickly as possible.
Best regards,
