We recently moved to Wilderness, and unfortunately the only option for an internet connection was to go wireless since fiber and LTE are not available in our area. We selected Cloud Connect based on their presence in the area, and we were impressed by their professional setup. Unfortunately you cannot trial a service provider before signing up. We are 6 months down the line on our 12 month contract, and it has been nothing but a struggle. Cloud Connects connectivity and speed is terrible and we have just spent over 90 minutes trying to watch a 30 minute show on Netflix while it struggles to connect & stream over & over again. We have called their support number like we always do, and the technician always says we have too many devices connected as if we are children, despite having unplugged everything before streaming a movie, and then we run around reseting everything.......but the problem persists. At most we have 10 devices connected to the wifi, but not accessing the internet. As a comparative example, we have a nature reserve in another area 300km away with a different service provider supplying the exact same speed connection, however on that connection we can stream whatever we like with no problems and at the same time we have 40-60 devices online from all our guests visiting the reserve. In retrospect, although it pains me to say it, I should have rather gone with Telkom and an ADSL line which is 20 year old technology.....but now I'm stuck in an expensive contract with Cloud Connect.
