I would strongly advise against visiting Coco Vogue.

My mother, sister and I booked a Hyperli deal for a classic manicure and classic pedicure, and the experience was honestly shocking from start to finish.

Firstly, I arrived with normal nail polish (not gel) on my nails and was told I would be charged an additional R50 just to remove it. Then we were informed that adding nail polish/paint to the manicure and pedicure would cost another R200 extra. Since when does a “classic manicure and pedicure” not include paint?

But the real issue is the damage done to my nails and cuticles. My nails were filed down so aggressively on top that they are now covered in dents and have become paper-thin and extremely weak — almost as though I had worn gel nails continuously for years. Everything burns now because of how damaged and sensitive my nails and cuticles are. It will likely take multiple repair treatments to get them healthy again.

To make matters worse, after cutting my cuticles to the point of bleeding, acetone was app**** to the wounds to stop the bleeding. The burning was unbearable.

I should have known the Hyperli deal was too good to be true, but I genuinely did not expect such poor workmanship and damage. I honestly would not recommend this salon even if the service were free. The condition my nails are in afterwards is unacceptable.

Extremely disappointing experience.
