I entered into a lease agreement for a flat from a Landlord and her daughter who stayed in KZN was the one whom I negotiated with. Despite my insistance that we do the agreement in writing she told me we can do it verbally. On the day of the inspection of the flat I noted that the taps in the kitchen didn't work and enquired about that and was told it would be fixed and that I could move in . I moved in and on the 3rd of September 2023 I paid my rent of R2000 per month. A further R300 was required which I paid after 3 days. I reported the water taps situation to the daughter as well as the electrical problems to the daughter telephonically and she was very rude telling me if I such a lot of complaints I should look for another place. I had nowhere else to go and didn't want to argue with her. The water works with a pump which one has to switch on walking to the main house of the Landlord about 20 meters and when it's raining it's difficult to do that. When one wants to use the toilet you have to go switch on the pump even in the middle of the night otherwise you cannot use the toilet. I have to use water from the toilet taps because of the taps in the kitchen is faulty also and reported this. The landlord told me she have money to fix the problem s I pointed out. This month I haven't paid my rent as yet and last night on the 6 of the month the daughter called me and was rude shouting and chanting told me to hand over the keys and moved out. I told her that it's got to be done according to law but she continued sending me watsup messages harassing me and her husband also threatened me on the phone. I still have no water in my kitchen and the smell coming from the toilet is so unbearable because of the water that have to be switch on at the main house each time one uses the toilet. All the previous people who leased from them had same problem and have been kicked out after complaining. The daughter of the Landlord is Fowzia Mohammed .

Had I known it was going to take years before I move into my home I would have never get into business with Community Housing. The worst company ever!!! The number is always engaged and no responds to emails. They even been calculating the whole erven's rates incorrectly this whole time, which delays the sale even longer. The problem I have is that I can't cancel because the seller can sue me so I just keep kicking myself in the back for thinking these ****ing idiots know how to do their jobs properly

I am a resident of KwaNqetho ward 8 (Kasawoti) our councilor is Themba Shelembe.
The place we live has water underneath, this was discovered by servaous. We put into waiting place called Lindela in Claremont were we were promised RDP houses. We have been waiting from 2009. Our furniture have been ruined. Because of this. At Lindela they was no electricity, living conditions were even harder there. Mayor come to see our place and incouraged us to look for our own places so they can build new places. All this was not done instead the people that are in a communittee are benefiting from this and we are left with no hope and assistance. The are building RDP houses for each other

Please do not reveil my name because my life will be in grate danger.

We really need need help in Ward 8

I don't think its fair that I wait almost 8 years to get a houseband other people only wait months. I applied or put my name on the list 7 years ago and over the years I have been through alot, now I wont qualify should they contact me now, which I don't think they would. At that moment I was in the bracket that makes u qualify now I have alot of debt and I'm no longer in that bracket. I just wish people can be fair and not treat others different certain people.
