I shopped at few Continental Linen in Gauteng (Pretoria) i always received best service hence i keep going back for more and referring my family and friends. I bought few things on line on black Friday, when i received my order it was one box and i knew something was missing because i had bought 2 Duvet inner, one double and one queen, me queen was missing. I sent and email and it was attended to immediately and they arranged that i go to my nearest store to get an inner. I was assisted by Armanelle , she is a star. I went to the store in Centurion Lifestyle was assisted by Fadiaah another star.

I bought a light blanket from Continental Linen at Benmore Gardens Shopping Mall in Sandton - a while ago, couple of months ago. It claimed to be 80% wool. I wanted it for my lap when watching TV on cold nights. It gave off a lot of fluff which clung to my clothes and which I often fished out of my mouth when I ate something. I was forever brushing fluff off my jackets before I went out. Thinking it may just be surface residue, I decided to wash it. However, it made no difference. Finally I decided to return it for a refund. I took along with me a "contaminated" jacket as evidence. Firstly, I was told that I should have returned it within 30 days of purchase which had expired by a week. When asked if I'd washed I confirmed I had, the main reason being as explained above. The shop assistant went off to have a long conversation about it with her Area Manager, she said. Upon returning, she said they were not going to refund me because of the 30 day rule and because I'd washed it. There was very obviously a problem with the blanket. The fluff on the jacket I'd brought with me was glaring evidence. I left the shop and left the blanket there, and without the refund which was just under R200. From the shop. I'd recently bought 2 sets of towels, a duvet set and a doormat. The blanket was not a once off purchase. That didn't mean anything to these people. I told them I'd not be buying anything from their shop again. I anticipate that someone will answer this with a "sincere" apology but repeat "the rules". An apology is of no use to me. I still have the invoice. A refund is in order if Continental Linen IS sincere about anything.
