Waste of taxpayers' money
The Act requires that medical schemes only provide the lowest standard of care: that "provided" by state institutions, despite paying exorbitant fees. The Council is not there to protect the public but the schemes. Do not waste time & money appealing for truth, fairness and justice: the Council is not there for that. The implication is that the NHI will be the lowest common denominator and taxpayer will get absolutely nothing for their money.

20 Jun 2024, 12:36The MSC is set up, by law, to protect the financial interests of medical schemes. It is definitely NOT an impartial ombudsman. Do not give them confidential medical information to which they have no right, nor will they consider the clinical implications. Their "interest" in your medical details is *******, immoral and *********. They are not fair, moral or ethical.
