We made a booking in September for 12 to 13 December to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday. FOUR days before our stay on 7 December we got a telephone call to inform us that the hotel has cancelled our booking due to "maintenance problems". By this time the booking has been paid in full. On pointing out that it was a special occasion, the lady simply responded with "bad luck". Shocking public relations.
