My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cradle Boutique Hotel, and I can confidently say it was one of the most exceptional experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the level of service was impeccable. As soon as we parked, a friendly staff member warmly greeted us and escorted us to the reception area. This small yet meaningful gesture set the tone for what would be a truly memorable stay. The check-in process was seamless, with the reception team making us feel immediately welcomed and at ease. Throughout our stay, it became evident that every staff member was perfectly trained in the art of hospitality. The restaurant staff went above and beyond, ensuring every meal was an indulgent experience. Their attention to detail, coupled with the most courteous service, made dining an absolute pleasure. We made a booking in September for 12 to 13 December to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday. FOUR days before our stay on 7 December we got a telephone call to inform us that the hotel has cancelled our booking due to "maintenance problems". By this time the booking has been paid in full. On pointing out that it was a special occasion, the lady simply responded with "bad luck". Shocking public relations.

We booked the picnic this past Sunday on the 15th September. We expected quite the experience and we were very excited judging from some of the images online of this picnic. WHAT A DISASTER! I wish I could share the images and videos. The entire set-up was on bare brown land! No grass! We were right in front of the restaurant, with no privacy at all... and we were just randomly placed on a weird patch of brown soil under dead trees. It was so bad! The plates had dirt all over them from the dust. We got no serviettes and had to ask. Then there was a fly trapped inside a bowl of chicken strips. Which was extremely off-putting. Dusty plates, and the branches from the trees were getting in our food from the wind. We spent less than 20 minutes honestly, we just took takeaways for the food and proceeded back home to have the picnic on proper nice grass. I truly feel like the establishment should s**** the picnic package altogether instead of placing people at a random patch of brown land. We regretted it instantly and we asked why we were placed there, and the guy just told us that's where he was told to place us. The defeat didn't let us put up a fight, we looked so sad and displaced. I still can't believe it honestly.

I stayed over the weekend of the 1st of September and when checking out I was informed that i had been double charged the stay. I provided my banking information and was told that it will take 10 or so days to reflect. Fast track to last week, I called as the prescribed reimbur*****t period had passed. They again took down my details and there’s been silence, ( no update, no reassurance nothing). At the start of a new week, I sent a nudge to their WhatsApp service asking them to provide me with a firm commitment on when my money will be credited to my account. They again took down my details and said they’ll make an enquiry with their accounts team. 24 hrs later, no update, no reassurance, no response- considering this was their blunder I assumed they get it moving in terms of expediting my refund request..but I guess not! cradle I just want my money. Hellopeter I was working at the cradle boutique hotel from December last year up untill march 2023 end,I was working as a waiter there , there didn't even pay me 1 rand of my tips (gratuity) ,on that each month I used to make R5000+ tips under my side alone ,when I asked them there said there still fixing it how?, because according to my understanding tips (gratuity) it's a thanks from a happy guests not for the company to keep,so can you please help me so that my money can gets paid .I have been working in hospitality industry for so long I have never saw such a daylight *******,I guess there are doing this because there are taking advantage because it's a company me I'm just a worker: my name is mondli sangweni

We want to know how far the investigation of a GAS LEAK that claimed the lives of two young women in 2022 is going. Do we keep moving forward as if it was not negligence on your end ( as a hotel)? How do we trust that it wont happen to anyone else if we choose the cradle hotel for a holiday stay? Are we safe?, has your systems changed?, are you more careful of GAS LEAKS ?, do you finally comprehend the need to preserve human life at all costs ?, especially when escaping reality to come there and relax?

I did not receive a good service from cradle Boutique Hotel as a result I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. I was conducting a training for one of clients at the venue. I went to reception to ask for a Golf cart to move my equipment from the car to the conference room, because you cannot drive down with your own they use golf carts. I was assured at the reception that someone will help me with the equipment. it was 12:15 and my client were going break for lunch at 13:00 of which I would have to prep before they come back at 14:00. nobody came to help me everyone I was asking for help I was given the same answer we are busy moving the clients luggage to their rooms. I was running out of time, I went to the parking lot and loaded my equipment onto the trolley. When i got to the parking lot I saw a guy with the Golf cart and I asked him if he could please assist me with taking my stuff to the conference room. We loaded the kit, he then received a phone call. He sad sorry he cant help me anymore he proceeded to offload my equipment because he said it was his boss who called and needed help. I was left stranded at the parking lot and I had no choice but I had take my kit on my own to the conference room using the trolley. He and his boss drove by next to me and did not even they will come back and help me. I was not impressed
