We have been a subscriber with Curemed since 2023, and unfortunately our experience has been a big dissapointment.
The point of a broker is informed advice when reviewing cover options. Another reason we took up their services was to receive guidance, support during claims or emergencies. In my experience, neither value points were delivered.
Communication and responsiveness have been a consistent issue. During an accident where I needed assistance understanding my cover and next steps, I was unable to get a response despite attempting to contact them. Only after throwing my toys out the cot did I receive a response.
More recently, I identified a potentially cheaper medical aid option that appeared to offer better cover. When I asked the advisor for professional guidance or analysis, I received a screenshot of quote variations with other comapnies with no explanation or insight.
When I specifically requested their opinion, the response was simply that it was a “basic plan with little cover” without any meaningful comparison or reasoning. I questioned this lackluster response and asked for further clarification, I was told they didn't include detail were in a hurry due to a meeting with their boss.
It feels like we are paying ongoing broker fees without receiving meaningful advisory value in return.
I raised another complaint requesting follow-up, and although I was told someone would contact me, no one had responded.
We will be cancelling as we don't see the benefit of continuing.
