Not happy with 16 Channel Dahua NVR DH-XVR1B16-I 1080P Support. I purchased as Dahua DVR from Takealot which was delivered to me on 28 Oct 2023. A month later, I managed to set up the DVR and was happy with the workings from December 2023. On the 29 October 2024, the system automatically updated the software and the night recording suddenly went fuzzy and the audio became very distorted. I tried to log in to check any faults or errors but could not find anything. I checked everything and all connections but nothing has been tampered with. I tried to log a return with TakeaLot only to find that the DVR was only having a 12-month warranty and the fault started a day after. Comment on take a lot shows, “This item is not eligible for return as it is outside of the warranty period. Warranty expired 28 Oct 2024” hence a day too late to log return... I mean a day out of warranty and so suddenly stop working as intended seems very much as staged or programmed failure that is time based. I await Dahua urgent response as the DVR is to be used in a court case of a pending trial. I am very unhappy as I don’t know what to do and want this item to be either repaired or replaced by Dahua.
