02 Aug 2023, 13:11 Good day, Mr. Rademeyer, Thank you for your time. You brought the vehicle in for a quote and at that time vehicle had 118 000 km on the clock, as you bought the vehicle in Johannesburg if I’m not mistaken. During the repair process, the following was noted and showed out to you: * Vehicle was in a major accident before* Bumper fitted to your vehicle is an incorrect bumper, you bought the vehicle with it. If you enter the Vin number you will see the correct specs for the vehicle, bumper with headlight washers, which is not on the vehicle. * Bumper is supposed to have headlight washer jets on, yours, as you bought it this way, does not have it. We showed it to you * The headlight washer pipes are blanked off behind the bumper. * The vehicle had the wrong bolts fitted to the front panel and front support. * We also made mention of the vehicle was not repaired correctly as there was still damage behind the bumpers after it was stripped, which was not related to the accident you had. Yes, we did struggle with the bumper, the insurance refused a new bumper on the grounds of the bumper had been repaired before and the damage that occurred with your accident was minimal. Hence the reason for my emails, as attached before, is that we can't guarantee any work on the bumper, which was accepted by all parties involved. If the paintwork was of any defect on the fender and bonnet we worked on, this would still have been covered by the warranty. But the paint on the bonnet, which we repair, and the driver-side fender, paint is still intact. You are welcome to purchase a new bumper from the agents, a correct one, or a good standing correct second-hand bumper, which we will not mind inspecting for you. We will do the paintwork on the bumper for you. But as mentioned before on several occasions, the vehicle was in a major accident prior to you buying it, the fitment will be for your account.
Best regards,
