HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR UIF DECLARATIONS TO BE SUBMITTED
I have worked for the Department of Agriculture from 01/05/2023 until 31/05/2024 under the EPWP project.
I have been dealing with the head of HR from last year august and still have not received the service i have requested for. I have also late December sent an email to The Chief director and he has assigned the project manager for the EPWP project to assist me. The project manager has asked me to wait for the inspector to deal with another person who has made an appoint to be seen only by the 29th January.
The department has not submitted any declarations for the period i have worked for them up until today. Going on for 8 MONTHS now since my contract ended. The only feedback i get is that they have dealt with the labour department and will get back to me.
I have eventually opened a case with the labour department and have been provided with an inspector to assist me. I do hope this is not gonna take another couple of months to get a simple declaration done. I do believe i could do a better job.
I am looking forward to send a follow up review. . .

SUBJECT : UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE FUND (UIF) CLAIMS
Kindly be informed that it has been recently discovered that some of the
Participants were not declared with the Department of Employment and
Labour for claiming Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF). As a result, the
Provincial Treasury have embarked on a process to reprocess the data.
Once the matter has been resolved, the Participants will then be able to
submit their claims online or go directly to the department of Employment
and Labour with their Identity Documents (IDs). For this reason, the
Department will not sign any Forms.
The projection is that this process will be finalised by Friday, 14 February
2025. Therefore, you can submit your claims starting from Monday, 17
February 2025.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

So above is the reply I eventually got from the HR department However i have previously been told otherwise in my communication I received from the previous HR lady.
The date was August last year and the above Circulation I have received today only....which states they only recently became aware of this.
I have removed the email address below but this is the day and time and person whom i was dealing with last year august already.....
