I would like to report poor service received from the UIF call centre and serious issues with the UIF online registration system.
I have been trying to register online in order to claim my UIF benefits. During the registration process, I was asked the following question:
“Do you, or have you ever lived at one of the following physical addresses?”
Several addresses were listed, including: • T1580 New Township, Elliot 5460 • Stand 122 • 8 Rose Court, 187 Murray Street, Goodwood • 199 Main Road, Graaff-Reinet 6280 • 3 Ramskin Street, Atteridgeville 0008 • None of the above
I do not recognize or have knowledge of all the listed addresses. When I selected “None of the above”, my account was blocked with the following message:
“Your registration has been blocked due to 3 incorrect login attempts during the registration process. Please contact UIF call centre – 08000 30007.”
I contacted the UIF call centre multiple times. Each time, the agents only unlock my account but do not resolve the actual problem. As a result, I face the same issue repeatedly, and my account keeps getting blocked again. No proper assistance or solution has been provided.
This experience has been extremely frustrating and time-consuming. The UIF customer care and call centre support have been ineffective and unhelpful in resolving a basic registration issue that prevents me from claiming my UIF benefits.
I have email correspondence as proof and can attach all emails sent to me if required.
I am requesting urgent assistance to resolve this matter permanently.
