I submitted an Injury on Duty (IOD) claim in November 2024 after being injured at work. All the required documentation was submitted, including medical reports and employer documents. Despite the claim being submitted more than a year ago, it is still pending and I have received no meaningful feedback regarding the progress of the claim. I have made several attempts to follow up in person and telephonically, but have not received any clear update or timeline for when the claim will be processed. I have been dealing with Mandivuye who has constantly made empty promises and said that everything was finalised a while back already. Until recently, when she advised that she is waiting for "Steve" to finalize calculations which again, has been ongoing for some time. My calls and messages are now not being answered. Another colleague of mine who also had an injury after me, got paid within months after being assisted at Bellville's Department of Labour. This delay is extremely concerning as the Fund is meant to assist employees who are injured at work and depend on this support. I respectfully request that the Department of Employment and Labour urgently investigate my claim and provide feedback on the status and when payment will be processed. Claim number: ***8 Please treat this matter as urgent as the delay since November 2024 is unacceptable.

Inspection & Enforcement Services - Non-responsive to emails and bad service In 2023, I submitted my UIF application at the Kempton Park labour centre where it was established that there is an employer by the name of Quickvest 10 Pty Ltd that was paying my declarations parallel to my then employer. I have never worked for this company and I don’t know the company. My case was later referred to the Belville labour office, Inspection & Enforcement Services division since this company was based in the Western Cape. Almost 3 years later, this case has not been resolved, no one has even given me constructive feedback regarding the matter as a result I have no idea what is going on. Instead, I have been moved from to pilar to post with my case being assigned to different people that don’t even have the decency to respond to my emails when requesting feedback. My humble request to you is that you please intervene in this matter so that this matter can be resolved and I can proceed with my UIF application. Please understand that I am currently unemployed and it is only fair that I at least get what is due to me. I really can’t be begging people to respond and resolve this for almost 3 years.
