I’ve been having back to back calls with the UIF Department regarding my registration, so I can claim my benefits from my past employment. To my surprise, very distasteful, hostile approach towards me and calls hung up on me, when all I asked was for assistance to unlock my registration since it locked instantly after i entered the temporary password I was provided, which also happened prior to me registering, whereby my account got locked constantly. But that time before registering I had a friendly lady to help me. After registering I called again on March 13, but was met with hostility from a lady called Nthabeleng who didn’t care for what I was saying, after a short while she hung the phone on me. I emailed all the UIF Departments (including complaints), nobody has cared to respond, even now. And this is something that affects me.

I have tried for months now to get access to my u-filing declaration and get the amounts paid. Does their website ever work? How do I get the correct reference to make payments if the website is always down?

The call center is the most useless department, everytime you contact them they don't have proper answers . You either want to pay us or you don't please why do you have to frustrate us? how many times should a person call before they get answers?

Great website, I say sarcastically. Try to register and the page just loads again and again and again and when it does seem to work it says user already taken and when I try to go use other ones then it tells me to log in a select forgotten password and when I do that it says user information not verified Ahhh, the wonders OF South Africa government. Let's add more stress to unemployed indoviduals by not being able to dok the most basic website development....

The UFiling platform has never worked properly but with perseverance one could sometimes work out how to make a UIF payment for one's employees, as required by law. Today I went onto the platform which allowed me, as usual, to sign in. On selecting Declarations (to pay my UIF), I am blocked with a notice advising me to call the call centre. On calling the call centre and having gone through the whole security procedure, I'm told by the attendant that the ufiling platform is under construction and is not functional.I'm not sure if this is just the declarations and payments section or the whole thing. My options, I'm told, are to go into a UIF office (not possible from where I live) or to write an email, which, in response, will tell my how to proceed further. So this is what the call centre is busy with: having to tell every South African employer trying to pay their UIF, to do the above. Surely that instruction could be placed on the front page of the uFiling platform to save everyone a great deal of time, effort, needless phone calls and frustrations. Come on, SA GOV UFILING Management, surely you can do better than this!

Its approval is 15 days overdue. I ve been calling non stop but they always say escallation... What is happening with my payment? Everytime i check it says sent to paymaster ..theres no sms nothing

To whom it may concern I like to have my voice heard about the pathetic service given by the UIF labour department. I originally app**** for unemplloyment 6th June and all documents had been submitted for approval. I received a sms stating that my claim have been approved and an sms with the 7 day waiting period for funds to be paid out into my account on 18 June see below sms Dear CLINTON. UIF: Mr/Mrs CLINTON MALANDER Your payment Case No:40009122274 has been processed and funds will be paid into your bank account in 7 working days.. Enquiries contact local Labour Centre . Case No : 40009122274. I have continuosly contacted the call centre will no help what so ever. I had 2 go into the UIF labour Department on the 17th July to find out what is going on. Just 2 find out that my application was closed and not even a sms or call centre could let me know about this. The consultant then advised me of a continuation that need to be done. We completed the payment form in which i signed and the consultant mentioned to me that my funds will be paid out within 5-7 working days. When i go onto the UFiling porthole the exact same status shows. Paymaster- Closed and this have shown before on the 17th June. I decided 2 go back into the laboir department in mitchells plain 2 go find out what is happening now and the consultant just says i must wait. I would like to know if the Hello peter could assist in this regard as its been more than month and my funds should have been paid out already. Regards Clinton Malander 0845022000
