I recently purchased a 500ml Dermalogica facial cleanser from Woolworths Eastgate for R1000. The product is supposed to have a lifespan of 12 months, but after just 9 months of usage, I found that it had developed an extremely foul, sickening smell, despite being less than halfway used.
When I returned to Woolworths Eastgate to address this issue, I was met with unsatisfactory service. The manager, who identified herself as Olivia P. (without providing her surname), called me regarding my request for a refund. She informed me that they would not be refunding me, even though she acknowledged that the product was still within the 12-month lifespan and had a foul smell.
The manner in which this communication was handled was quite arrogant and dismissive. Despite providing clear evidence that the product was defective, Olivia P. refused to accept responsibility or process a refund.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the service I received and the lack of accountability from both Dermalogica and Woolworths. I expected much better, especially given the price point of the product. Terrible experience
